Enough time to catch our flight home?

I just got a call from our airline. We had a flight home out of MCO at 3:00. The airline offered to put us on a 12:45 flight and upgrade us to first class. I happily said yes but am now questioning whether I made the right decision - will we have time to get from the port to MCO and make the flight?

DCL just suggests you're flight is not prior to 12:30pm.
You should make it with no problem!

When we left the ship in August we took the DCL bus back to the resort and were back at our hotel by 9.55am. So depending how quick you get off the ship and your mode of transport back, I am sure you should be fine.

We had at 12:35 pm flight and made it no problem despite taking forever to get off the ship (9:15 am).
Not aware of any DCL suggestions on flying after 12:30, but they did make it clear that if your flight was before 12:30, and you were using DCL transfers, and checking your bags in with an airline at the port, they needed to be checked in by 9 am.

We had a flight at 11:10 and were back at the airport at 9:00AM and had time to kill. Don't worry, of course barring any unforseen weather or other circumstances you should be fine.:sunny:

We were at the airport for our 11:20am flight by 8:45! I was so glad that I didn't opt for a later flight!

Erin :D

We've made an 11:50am flight post-cruise. We made it in plenty of time even though the ship was delayed at disembarkation by about an hour because of weather. We also had a driver so we didn't need to rely on Disney transportation.

Under normal circumstances you should be just fine! We were off the ship and at the entrance to Magic Kingdom around 9am!

This is good news because for some reason the TA changed our 2 pm flight to DFW to 12:30 and I was nervous!

I think you'll be happy with that change.

Yeah, I guess I am but I was a little nervous that for some reason we would be rushed and miss something. But I guess with two little ones at the tail end of an 8 day vacation the less time we have to spend at the airport the better! :)

THe way this huricanne season is going, I don't think that I would be making noon time flight plans if sailing during huricanne season. I would be giving myself more time for the just in case. For most of the year, a noon time flight works out great.

Oh yes...you'll be anxious to get home at that point!

That's an easy connection. We always have the late seating at breakfast and still get to the airport in time to make a 10:30 flight. We usually are booked on the 3 pm, but always end up stand by on the earlier and have been lucky enough to get on. Makes a difference if you are also first class.

I say go for it!

I wish we could go first class. But I do not think the other people would appreciate my 3 and 5 year olds bouncing around and still excited about their trip. But I think we should be OK though from what everyone says. As always, great info from ya'lL!

12 noon is normally OK - but might be a bit of a risk in Hurricane season.

Due to Hurricane Charley (seems a long time ago now) we didn't disembark until about 11,30 on the saturday so would have struggled to meke a flight earlier than (say) 2.30

Chances are you'll be OK

I find this interesting, since DCL has us booked on a flight departing from MCO at 11:32 am. I received my cruise documents today and was surprised to see this flight time. However, the later posts in this thread provide some reassurance that we should not encounter any problem.
