We will be arriving at MCO at 9:30 am from Boston and then are heading to the POLY via ME. We have an 11:30am ADR for Garden Grill at Ecpot (the only one we could get). Do you think two hours will be enough time to get to the POLY,quickly check in, drop our carryons and get to Epcot for the 11:30 lunch or is this cutting it too close?
How long does the monorail ride take to get from the POLY to Epcot?

Thank you very much!

I'd say that's cutting it a bit close. You can estimate that your DME trip from MCO might be about 70 minutes from plane to resort (if you skip baggage claim and have DME handle your luggage), but it could be more. So if you go with 90 minutes to be on the safe side, that puts you at the resort at 11:00 a.m. Even if you skip checking in and just have them store your carry-ons, that will take at least 10-15 minutes.

Next, the Epcot monorail doesn't actually stop at the Poly, it only runs from the TTC and back. That means walking over to the TTC, which is maybe 10 minutes at a decent pace, and catching the monorail there. You may have to wait 10-15 minutes for a train and then the monorail ride itself is probably another 15 minutes, then you'll have to enter the park and walk through the main FutureWorld area and back to The Land pavillion. Probably another 20-25 minutes all in.

For me, 12:30 p.m. is the absolute earliest I'd be comfortable with and ADR at GG. All of those times above could be trimmed back a few minutes if yiou hit everything right, but they could be longer if you don't. The only way you'd be able to trim any significant time off of that is to just grab a cab from the Poly, which makes the entire trip to Epcot maybe 10 minutes vs. 25-40 minutes, but I don't think that's quite enough to safely make it.

Its tight but do-able. Once you get to the Poly, walk to the TTC and catch the Epcot monorail. Do not get the monorail at the Poly - you'll go all the way around before getting to the TTC.

Since my family and I have never used Magical Express before I can't comment on that part, however I can say if you arrive at the TTC and the Epcot Monorail is there then it's going to be good for you because of the time factor. However if you get to the TTC and the Epcot Monorail is not there, I would say you have a 5 -7 minuite wait until the next one arrives.

Arrive at MCO at 9:30. Figure on 'about' 70 mins to the Polynesian. Checkin will take up to 25 mins, may quite possible be less. So, you get to the Polynesian at 10:45, get checked in by 11:00, no going to your room (give your carryons to Bell Services), walk to TTC, it's now 11:10, wait for a monorail to Epcot, ride it, arrive at front of Epcot, it is now 11:35, enter Epcot and walk to GG..it is now almost noon. I don't think you are going to get there in time.
If you really wanted to, you could take a cab from the Polynesian. But even then that's going to be close. I would forgo the meal. While I like the GG I wouldn't kill myself getting there for lunch. I would just take my time and eat right at the Polynesian.
