Enough time for Chef Mickey's?

Southwest keeps moving our flight times around (argh) and now I'm worried this is too tight as we've never been to Chef Mickey's before....

Sunday morning, departure day:
10:35am Character Breakfast at CM
Flight departs MCO at 1:40pm and will have to return rental car.

I think this is probably tight. We're super light travelers, no checking bags, TSA precheck, but I'm still nervous about it.

Is the character breakfast pretty fast, like an hour max? Or should I try to find an earlier one (assuming that's even an option?)

I would try for earlier.

Assuming you do not get seated until 10:35, you would have to hurry. The breakfast can take as long as you like, but I would guess 30-40 minutes minimum. Then you have to get from the Contemporary to MCO and drop the car, so I would allow an hour for that. In my experience, Precheck at MCO is pretty quick, but that might be true on your specific day.

Thank you for the response! I was able to move it to 9:40am (god bless touring plans reservation finder.) Now I just have to decide if it's really worth it for my 10 year old who's never been. She's maybe a little old for the characters but I think she'll still love even seeing them wander around.

Glad you found a new time! We have always received our food quickly, but it took foooorrever to get our check one of the times. It was almost comical how many times we tried to flag his attention to get it.
