Let me preface this by saying--I haven't been to Disney in 19 years and I've spent the last ten years cruising with all-inclusive food and drinks.

We are going to Disney in July and have DXDP for everyone in our group. My niece was looking at the menus for restaurants (we have one more ADR to book) and noticed that there are "Enhancements" on the menu. At Coral Reef they say they are not included in the DDP or DXDP, but at Le Cellier it does not have that wording. Are enhancements included as part of the dining plan?

Also, I know kids get a non-alcoholic drink with their meals. For restaurants with special cups those are not included--correct? My nieces will be 6 and 11 and are quick to order things without thinking. I'd rather not walk out with a $100 tab on top of gratuity and the cost of DXDP :-)

Enhancements are not included, nor are sides that aren't included in the description of the entree. In other words, the only thing included with the entree, is whatever is listed in the entree's description. Places with an a la carte menu, like some of the signature restaurants like Yachtsman and Le Cellier, you'll have some OOP to pay for the sides.

Souvenir cups are not included, either.

At some location you can swap the dessert out for select other items, but that is up to each location.

The only souvenier that seems to be included are glow cubes. Not sure how Beach Club milkshakes work since most (all?) Seem to now be served in souvenier cups.

Enhancements and sides are never included. On the DxDDP appetizers are included, as are desserts. The enhancements are clearly noted and in every restaurant that offeres enhancements, your server wil be sure to advise you. The server will also be clear in terms of beverages that are included and those that are not.

When you dine, I woudl suggest you be sure to discuss the options your Nieves are considering. Adding Lobster to the meal is going to cost you, and some of those sides are wicked expensive.

To piggyback on this question...Would one ever be allowed to swap an "Enhancement" for an appetizer? Specifically, I'm looking at Narcoossee's menu - the "Signature Mashed Potatoes" are listed as an enhancement, but are only 1/2 the price of all the appetizers. Any chance they would allow the substitution?

You can ask. I would simply ask to swap my garnishment for the mashed potato. They really are delicious.
