engagement pictures

hi everyone,

hadnt really heard of people having engagement pics before but having seen some of the pics that some of you have had on here it seems a really cute idea!!

my fiance and i got engaged in florida, and will be married there in 2014, we will be going to florida in 2011, so i think that it would be a really good idea!!

another reason i want to do it, is that my fiance is really not that great at having pictures taken!! its like the episode of friends where chander smiles until there is a camera in from of him and then it goes so i thought it would be nice for him to maybe get used to having photos taken so he doesnt look completely freaked out in all of our wedding pics!!

what kind of locations do people normally use and how much should i expect to pay?

any of your photos that you would be willing to share id love to see!!!

If you're thinking of doing engagement pictures at Disney World, there is an option to do a photo session in one of the parks, in street clothes. I believe I saw that package quoted at around $300-400.

We are going to do engagement photos at home (New York City) with a local professional photographer. That session is going to be around $400, but prices vary quite a bit from photographer to photographer.

We're doing our engagement pictures through Disney in a few weeks at the Boardwalk! I believe it's $310. You can go to disneyeventphotography.com for their contact information and they'll send you all of the pricing and information once you call. Hope this helps!

We are having an Engagement Shoot with Randy Chapman in May. It was part of the deal that Randy and Stan from STVS was offering in Dec. I am also glad we are having it done as My Fiance isn't very good at having his picture taken and doesn't smile. I am hoping that in May he will get used to Randy so that at our wedding in October he will be more comfortable.

E-pics at Disney. I've seen beautiful engagement pictures from all these photographers. We are using David and Vicki Arndt.

E-pics at Disney. I've seen beautiful engagement pictures from all these photographers. We are using David and Vicki Arndt.

We are also using David and Vicki for our e-pics. We have them scheduled for APril 18th! Can't wait!!

We had Misty as our wedding photographer in November 2008. We really wanted to meet her and her husband before the wedding so when we were down in Disney for our planning session the May before we schedule an engagement shoot with her. We took photos at the WL and the Poly. We felt it was important to meet and discuss what we wanted to see how we all worked together before the wedding. I also had my hair and makeup trial that morning. We even got to the WL about an hour before we were supposed to meet Misty to meet Reverend Miller. We basically got alot of our wedding stuff done in that one day. Here are a few of our shots.

We have decided to do ours at AK Lodge and GF so it should be fun hopefully

I went with Randy instead of Disney because he gives you access to all your photos and is cheaper (175 for 2 hours and 2 resorts of your choice) He's also doing our wedding in October

disneydiva84 i cant wait to se your pics!! that price is really good for randy, and at 2 resorts, are the resorts ok with you going there to take pictures of your not staying there??
