Engagement Pictures

Hi, ladies.

I tried a search, but nothing came up for engagement pictures!

Did you guys do them?

What did you wear? Did you match?

What would you recommend when choosing outfits?

If anyone would like to share their ideas for clothes, colors, etc. or just add their engagement pics, I would appreciate it.

We are doing ours at the Wilderness Lodge THIS MONTH!

We've done two engagement sessions. One where we had a friend who worked at Sears take some pictures. We wore our New England Patriots jerseys for that. Rob wore the away jersey and I wore the home jersey. We were planning on dressing up for it, but then at the last minute we decided it wasn't "us" so we went this route. I love the pictures. Here are my two favorites.

Our second shoot was with the Roots, from which I don't have the pictures back yet! I'll post back when I get them. For that I can show you what I was wearing from my makeup trial.

And I wore jean shorts and brown suede Birkenstock sandals with that shirt. Rob wore a navy blue North Face shirt and tan shorts. Again, both of us wanted to be comfortable and be true to who we really are. We're not dress up people.

We're going to do our at a couple of resorts with someone (I haven't booked it yet, but need to figure out when I'm going)

I'm going to wear a yellow dress and DFi is going to wear a Blue shirt (our wedding colors) He wants to wear jeans so he most likely will. I may just get a cute Yellow shirt, and wear matching jeans.

My wedding colors are warm pinks and pink corals with gray and silver accents, I don't think that would work, for my fiance or for the more rustic surroundings of Wilderness Lodge.

If anyone else wants to share, I'd appreciate it!

Here's some of ours from the WL. We sorta coordinated. We didn't really plan much, but his shirt has some blue in it, and we're both in jeans. So, it worked. Solid colors are good...and cute shoes, if you have favorites (I just had sandals). Anything you think will photograph well.

As I was trying to pick out ones to post, I realized most of them are kissy-kissy. The Roots told us to act natural! I had just gotten back from Iraq a week and a half before and DH is very "snuggly." Sorry if it was too much smoochin'! We also took pics around the GF, but I think the Poly makes a better second backdrop. Here's some great locations to take pics at the Poly...and lurkyloo's were GORGEOUS.

Thanks again, Heidi! I never even asked about a second location! Actually, I let my fiance Rob pick the e pics location, since the guy doesn't always get to pick a lot for a wedding. (case in point, our colors are grapefruit or coral pinks and gray!) lol

Meg, your pics came out great, they are so funny, I love your expressions!

Kendra, it does look gorgeous in your pics, you guys have great coloring, though. I'm afraid I might look too sallow (I get dark circles under my eyes)- I am thinking of something in the blue to teal family.
