Hi...I am going to propose to my GF while at Disney World (next week!!). We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

I am thinking to propose on the beach by the Grand Floridian after dinner at either Citricos or Narcoossee's. We both have never been to Disney World. Is this a great spot to do it or maybe the Polynesian? I want to do it on the beach/lake so the best suggestion of place is highly appreciated.

Do you think doing it during the fireworks show would be good? That is what I am thinking. If so, what time is the show so I can make sure we are done eating and on the beach.

Any suggestions on the best way to get pictures of this? Someone told me you can try to work out having a Photo Pass person show up, if you give them details of what time. True? Or other suggestions?

Thanks for any help!!!

My DF proposed to me at Disneyland and we're planning our wedding at Disney World. His plan was to propose to me during the fireworks, although that ended up changing to be in front of the castle. Both ideas are great. I think your idea of the beach is good too. I'm not sure about the photographer. I hope someone else can help you with that. I think the best thing is that she knows that you planned something special, which you're doing. Good luck!

Wait, I found something about the photos. It was in Carrie's Disney Weddings book - that I'm falling in love with by the way. My wedding isn't until 2011 and I'm already having fun! The following is cut and pasted from one paragraph in Carrie's book (BTW: everyone should buy this book online)

For more personal attention, you can schedule a 30-minute private resort
photography session with a PhotoPass photographer at the Beach Club,
Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Wilderness Lodge. The
photo package costs $49.95, and you can choose one of three combinations of
prints: two 8x10s and three 5x7s; two 5x7s and four sets of two 4x6s; or seven
5x7s. For $99.95 you will get your choice of print package plus all images on
a PhotoPass CD (anywhere from 40-70 images, depending on the pacing of
the session). If you pre-order the PhotoPass CD online or purchase it in the
parks, the cost of the portrait session is $70 with proof of purchase. Images
from the session cannot be enhanced with borders, characters, etc. at the
kiosks in the parks, but you can enhance them on the PhotoPass web site when
you get home. You can book a private session up to 30 days before you arrive
by calling 407-824-1700. Sessions are scheduled from 8:30 am until sunset.
