Engagement Gift... Your Thoughts... Wine...

I'm not one who really believes in "engagement" gifts, but it is one of my best friends, and I can't make it to her party, so I will be purchasing a bottle of wine with a clever note attached, saying something along the lines of "to use during a special moment".

So...

White, red, or sparkling?

Can anyone think of a funny bottle for a couple? (For instance, Big Pink House wine is my staple housewarming wine...)

If she is changing her names to his (or vice versa) is there a chance you can find a bottle with that name?
We have a bottle from the year our DD was born of a wine called Marika (her name) and one whose name is our last name (ironic as we have a German last name but it is a French wine). It is amazing what you can find out there.

GREAT idea... The name will be Williams, so I am SURE I can find something!

I think sparkling wine is very celebratory and would be a great gift.

I think you can also make custom wine labels if you can't find anything with their last name.

Sparkling, absolutely sparkling. We like Domaine Chandon, Domaine Carneros and I have a bottle of Rosa Regale that I can't wait to try!! The RR I got at Cost Plus World Market, Chandon is available at most retailers, Carneros you may not be able to get ad many of our local wineries do not sell their wines in national retailers. You could go to their website tho and order from there.
