Im embarrassed to say that I didnt follow it up with a full Trip Report. I even forgot to check in to say I was back. Sorry to any followers. I thought I would drop in quickly though, whilst I have some time... and tell you we got engaged whilst out there... I wanted to at least tell that story.

I proposed in WDW in Florida last September to my childhood sweetheart of 7 years. Here is my story:

I booked a 2 week trip to Florida as a suprise, for our 7th anniversary (we've been together since the age of 15). I hired an actress and a photographer to play along, and made sure we stumbled across them in the Magic Kingdom on the morning of our anniversary. The actress posed as a Disney employee, along with the photographer, pretending to be working for their PR team. They asked, if we would like to win the chance to be the parks royal couple for the day. I had pre-written the script weeks ago. We of course jumped at the chance. We were given a list of 3 tasks we had to complete, and if we did, we would win a prize. So off we went, with the photographer following us to capture our morning of fun (for PR purposes of course! lol). We had been given props. The first was a rose, where we had to pick the petals and spread across Belles storybook garden. The second was a bottle of bubbles, which we had to blow everytime we saw the wicked witch whilst riding Snow White. The third, was a bag of pixie dust, which we had sprinkle in the rose garden, so that Tinkerbell would know where to come to start the fireworks that night. Having completed the tasks, we headed to Cinderellas wishing well (a very quiet spot to the side of the castle) to collect our prize. We chose an envelope (they all contained the same thing of course! But she didnt know that). We won a wish that would be magically granted each from Cinderellas wishing well... and 2 magic coins to drop into the well. I was to go first. I closed my eyes, and dropped the coin into the well. My partner was next. As she did it, I dropped to one knee and pulled ou the ring (which I had designed and had made at a jewellers in Stratford upon Avon). When she turned around, I asked "what did you wish for?" and gave her the whole speech, about being so lucky to find my soulmate at such a young age, and proposed to my 'best friend'. I had timed it so that the show in front of the castle would be on at the time of proposal, and I did it whilst the princesses danced to 'Once Upon A Dream' on the stage that could be seen from where the well was. The photographer snapped pictures of us kissing and hugging afterwards, with the shows fireworks going off and the castle in the background. I then gave her 2 Mickey & Minnie proposal pins for her lanyard. The next part wasnt planned, but we were so lucky that the 2 Stepsisters came by with a CM and congratulated us, playing games... tell my fiance that they were prettier and were more deserving of a proposal from her 'prince'. We then used the photographer for a post-engagement shoot in the rose garden. That was the first day of our holiday...and so we had 2 weeks of walking on air after that! We wore Just Engaged badges and everyone congratulated us! I had booked us into the Crystal Palace for dinner that night and told them it was celebrating an engagement... we had confetti in the shape of a heart on the table, had a free desert, and the characters signed a card for us. In most restaurants afterwards for the 2 weeks we had free stuff. CM's gave us free stuff. And the character interaction was awesome afterwards! Things like... Minnie being cross at Mickey *** she still doesnt have a ring. Pooh pretending that she was his fiance and getting pictures of him proposing... So many more stories. Im babbling now! Sorry...

What a wonderful proposal...very imaginative. I would love to see pictures as well.
