I was just at disneyland and asked a cm just to see what they would say and they said they aren't currently enforcing them(which I knew). She did say that possibly starting labour day they would be. Just a tidbit of infor if it hasn't already been said.

I had heard another person post that they were only enforcing them if it was before the FP time. Did the CM mention anything about that?

On our recent trip it was our first time going with knowledge that you can use them after the return window. Our first attempt was on Splash Mountain and the woman turned my wife and son away because our return time was around 11AM and we were attempting to use it around 6PM. The rest of the trip, we had no problem using them as long as it was after the start time. Oh, except the time I thought I had three for Space Mountain but one was from a few days prior that we never used. The CM called us back but since 2/3 were valid he let us slide. When we told this to a friend, she said she uses expired ones all the time and even used some from a prior trip when she went in June. :rolleyes2

I'm just going to plug my ears (or shut my eyes) to the speculation of enforcing FPs and carry on until the stop me! :ssst:

Interesting to hear, but, like with so many things DLR, I'll believe it when I see it!

There were rumors that DLR was going to switch when WDW did. They didn't. Seems like every few weeks/months, someone reports a CM tells them when it will be happening. I'll believe it when I see it.

Personally, starting in Sept makes no sense to me. Why start this in the middle of a busy season, instead of at the beginning (ie, time to get used to it before the crowds), or around the Cars Land opening (because of the additional FP ride and changes)? Seems like a random time to start... but I'm not in the head of DLR execs, so what I think doesn't matter much :)

I overheard a CM running the FP checkpoint on Thunder Mountain Railroad say in the future all the Fast Passes would be checked with an iPad. My 9yo looked at me and rolled his eyes. Sorry, but if they can't get a handle on ticket security at the gate, I doubt they'll invest in such Fast Pass security. Then again, the "future" is indefinite so he may get his wish. :rotfl2:

for sure they were checking the start time. We were 5 min early twice and were turned away. we never had them turn us away for not coming back before the end time though. I have no idea why it would be labour day but I thought I would ask and see what answer I would get. AND I heard a cm at the front gate telling the guy in front of me that they can see that they have early entry but they can't tell if you have used it or not. so technically you could go every morning of your trip??? I thought others on here said that they could tell so now I am confused:confused3

I'm betting if they can "see" that the ticket has MM, it probably "clears" once the MM has been used. In other words, it says something like "4 days available, 1 MM available" and then, when scanned on a MM, would say "3 days available".

As far as I have always known (and experienced) with regard to the FP times, start times matter, end times don't. If the start time didn't matter, there wouldn't be much point to a FP, since everyone would grab one to go use in the "short line", ya know?
