Do energy drinks give you energy?

i had my first one today and my mom is scared i will get lots of energy then get really tired and like fall asleep.

What do they do to you if you drink them?

I think their really gross IMO. I only drink Gatorade!

I think they are gross. But when I used to drink them, they never did anything for me.

However, they raise your heart rate to dangerous levels. Same with your breathing rate. They are a lot more dangerous than people think they are.

^I've heard that as well. They can be dangerous if you drink too many or it just depends...I don't "trust" those types of "drinks" at all.

I took a sip of reb bull once, and it tasted like cherry medicine.
My friends who drink it get energy though.

I drank a redbull once. It was kinda gross. I ended up dumping half of it down the sink.

I do the play at school and due to long hours- there are tons of people who swear by them.

The only energy drinks i've ever had are AMP Energy and N.O.S.

I'm trying to stay away from them but occasionally i need a boost

i usually dont drink them but when i do they usually give me a boost, the only time when i drink them and then get really tired is when i drink 5 to 8 of them then i literally pass out.

They give me sooo much energy, it's scary!

I drank one because I had to drive a while and I saw sleepy, and I saw wired all the way until way after dinner. I have a low tolerance for caffeine though, so I think that's why they affect me so much. Like I could not sit still. I clean my entire dorm room in about an hour. And I saw jumping up and down..it was freakyyy!!

I only like Monster, the green kind. I rarely drink them because they are so bad for the body. I have 3 sitting in my room now incase I need to pull an all nighter or something. I'm sure when finals come I'll need them. lol

I like them, they don't really give me much energy though. I've only had them once or twice. My friend, on the other hand is a monster fanatic. He drinks at least one almost everyday. They are like coffee to him. He has had every flavor of monster they have come out with and keeps a collection of monster cans haha.

Yeah.i am exactly the same.
I had a full throttle today the origanal kind.
it gave me NO energy at all.
