The Cast...
DH-Closet Disney Freak...blames all our trips on me when he's just as bad
DSs- 9 (Cam) and 6 (Colt)-WDW & DL vets, not very adventurous and can be difficult at times
DM(Mother)- The one I got the "Disney gene" from She loves to come along on our trips since we can't get DF(Father) to go anymore, and she is a great help with the kids
DN(neice) 13- This was her 4th trip and we were so happy so could come along with us this time. Shes more daring than DS, but still a bit cautious.
And me....well, lets just say I love all things Disney and during this trip Cam referred to me as "Freaky Disney Person". :rolleyes1

Thursday 8/31
We headed out today to a beautiful day…Ernesto was long gone. We were at the bus stop by 7:20 heading to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hour, beginning at 8:00. We arrived at the MK about 7:50 and made a potty break before heading to the gates. To our surprise they did the opening show (I had never seen them do this on EE mornings, but its been over a year since I’ve done an EE morning here). They were letting people in and we weren’t in line yet. Yikes! I felt like we were so late. :hourglass

Once we made it in they let us up to the Castle where they had a rope up. Right at 8:00 they dropped it and we were in. We went right to Dumbo and rode with no line, before heading to the Indy Speedway. Again here, we walked right on. Boy was I glad we didn’t wait in the 30 minute line for this Monday night.

Next DH and I went on Space Mt and had a 5 minute wait, while DM took the kids on Buzz Lightyear. Then DH, DSs and I rode Astro Orbiters, while DM & DN rode Buzz again as neither were interested in AO.

We met up at Buzz and all rode this time, with no wait. I have to brag here as I got the all time family record of 889,100. :cool1:

Now we headed back to Fantasyland and rode Pooh with no line before heading back to Main St for breakfast. Here we ate at the Main St Bakeshop which we always like to do on EMH mornings.

After breakfast we were heading back to to see Mickey’s Philharmagic when we saw Cinderellabration was beginning at the Castle. We had never seen this and we got a pretty good spot, last minute, along the side of the Castle so we decided to stop. DSs had no desire to see this so they sat on a bench. I have to say what we saw of this I wasn’t overly interested in...just lots of Princessy stuff. If you have Princess fans, it may be good for them. We ended up leaving so it may have gotten more interesting at the end.

We went to Mickey’s Philharmagic and were told the show was just about ready to go in. Again, perfect timing for us!

We then headed to Toontown and rode Goofy’s Barnstormer. DM & Cam sat this one out. When we returned to the loading dock the CMs asked if we wanted to go again since there was no line and we did.

We then took a quick walk through Mickey’s and Minnie’s houses and lost Colt for a quick minute in Mickey's, but we found him and were on our way.

On our way out of TT we now saw there was no line at the Tea Party. We had so much fun here Monday night we rode again, before heading to Peter Pan which we rode with about a 5 minute wait. The line looked longer than it was…probably because we weren’t used to seeing lines.

We now went to the Hall Of Presidents. This is one we haven’t done in many years, probably about 8. As noted a few days ago, Cam is really into History now so he actually wanted to see this. We arrived and were told there was a 20 minute wait, we started to discussing leaving to ride IASW as we had seen no line there on our way, however the CM at HOP started talking to us, giving us Presidential trivia and such and we couldn’t get out. ;) But that was ok. He made it interesting and I learned some things and realized Cam knew a lot more than I did. ;) Who can name the 4 presidents born in MA(I was shocked on 1 but Cam knew it) ? Who was the first president born in a hospital? :rolleyes1

Before long the time had passed and we were in the show. The only problem I had here was it smelled as though someone had left a baby’s diaper in there right under my seat. I never saw anything, but it certainly smelled. I couldn’t wait to get out.

After the show and browsing in the gift shop we made our way to Adventureland to get the famous Dole Whips. Yum!

It was now that DM left to shop (are you seeing a pattern here?;) ) and the rest of us decided to head to Epcot. There were a couple things the kids really wanted to do that we didn’t get to yesterday.

We went to the monorail and upon arrival we just missed one. So, we asked if there was no one in front of the next one could we ride up front(minus me since 4 is the limit). They said sure, just wait at the far end. They did and when the next monorail arrived the people in front got out so they were able to get it. I rode in the next car. We arrived at the TTC and I got a bit nervous. The driver was having trouble parking. We went forward and back and rolled a little and went forward and back again. Other people in my cart were making comments that the driver needed driving lessons. I was cringing thiking "WHAT are my kids doing in there???”. I thought they highjacked the monorail, but it wasn’t them after all…or so DH says.

We transferred to the Epcot monorail and arrived there in no time. We started out at Innoventions East that we had missed yesterday as the kids wanted to do the make your own paper thing. They had also missed the cookie baking in the Land yesterday (we were there too early in the morning and I forgot about it until after 4:30 when the last one takes place). So, we went back to the Land and arrived about 1:15 for the 1:30 cookie baking session. As soon as we got to the walkway it started pouring, but we made it inside just in time.

The kids made the cookies and were very happy that they got to walk away with 2 cookies each. We were now done, and by the time we got outside it had cleared up. :sunny:

We now went back to PC to take some time in the pool, then we all got washed up for dinner. This was mine and DH’s night out! The rest of the group started out first, about 5:00. They went to MGM for dinner at Sci Fi, and then to DTD, where Grandma got to spoil them rotten.

DH and I on the other hand left when we were ready, about 5:40. We had ADRs for CA Grill at 8:00, but decided we would drink around the monorail first. Our idea was to take the bus to MK and then the monorail to the Poly, however when we arrived at the bus stop DTD’s bus was there. DH suggested we hop on it and transfer there. Ok, why not?

Because….that ride seemed to take forever. We got every slow driver on this trip. Once we arrived at DTD, we went to the Poly bus stop. We saw a GF bus show up right away so DH suggested we take that one. We wouldn’t end up going in the order we wanted, but I agreed. As soon as we were on it and pulling away we saw a Poly bus arrive. We thought about switching at the PI stop, but then said, nah we are getting too crazy with this. We arrived at PI and our bus was waiting and waiting…when we saw the Poly bus pull up. Oh, why not! We jumped off the GF bus and hopped on the Poly bus. Now we were on our way…we thought. We then had to stop at Typhoon Lagoon…another s l o w ride…then stopped at CR…and FINALLY made it to the Poly at 6:30. So overall the ride wasn’t even an hour, but it seemed like 3, LOL! :hourglass

We had our drink at the Tambu Lounge at the Poly, one of our favorite resorts(we spent our honeymoon here).

Next it was on the monorail to Mizners Lounge at the GF.

We weren’t really planning on getting a drink at CR since we figured we may end up having a wait and we would have one then, but we made great time and it was only 7:30 when our monorail arrived at CR so it was on to the Outer Rim Lounge.

By 7:55 we checked in and were brought up to dinner. Waht a view! This picture does not do it justice.

After we ate it was almost time for Wishes. While we could have stayed at our table we opted to go outside on the deck. The first deck was full but the second one was empty. What a great show!

We then walked to MK to catch a bus back to PC. Here the line was unbelievably HUGE and kept growing. But again, the buses came 2 at a time and we were seated on one in no time. We were impressed. We made it back to CR about 11:00 and crashed as we had another early morning.
