Sandi,

I am not sure what you meant...but I'm sorry you aren't going to continue your trip reports.

Laurel

No, I just started reading them. How will I ever know how your trip ends?

You certainly have that right if you don't want to though.

Writing a trip report is a lot of work and it certainly is dissapointing to see how many people read your report and how many actually respond to it. I must admit I have been guilty many times of just reading a report and not responding to it.

I just wanted to let you know I appreciate the work you have put into your reports and am enjoying reading them.

I'm sorry to hear you won't continue with the reports. I don't know what happened, but appreciate the effort you put forth. It seems like you had a fun trip.

renatra, What Happened? I was reading your reports and thought they were great with the pics and all. Then I came accross(sp?) this post. Did something happen? Please continue. Sherrie :D

OK, I admit, I am the world's worst about reading trip reports and not replying but I hope you realize that you are doing a great job. Just the right amount of details, not too long, not too short. Your feeling sounded so hurt. I don't think anybody would really want that. Please continue, I am reallly enjoying your trip.

OK, I have no idea what happened - I logged on tonight and came here to read the rest. I usually only post at the end to say thanks, I guess the writer has no way of knowing how many of us are following, but please go on.

Thank you all for your kind words, but when I logged on to write Day 5, and saw that Day 4 had fell to the bottom, ready to disappear, with 13 views, I figured it was time to quit.

I sure got a lot of views on this thread though.

reading the reports.....sometimes I don't respond....but I do love to read them..... :D

sooo...you are going to continue, right? I really like to read the trip reports from people who went without kids...since we don't have any, those are the ones I most relate to!

PS...reading this post I remembered that you were the one who sent me all the informatioin about your intimate wedding...well my fiance have finally scheduled ours, November 7 2001 at the wedding pavilion!!

Laurel

Ranatra, you did a great job with your trip report. Concise, good information, I thought they were awesome.. Hope you will continue..

I have to admit that I wait until all of the report is posted and then print it out and read the whole thing on my lunch hour at work.

I also admit that I do not post responses, unless I have questions, only because, and this is strictly my opinion and not aimed at any one person, but I personally find it very annoying to have lots of responses with lots of graphics that take so much time to "load" onto the computer and then take up so much space when you print them. Just a particular annoyance of mine, but I try not to contribute to what I consider a problem.

Just because you don't get the response you want right away, doesn't mean it won't come later. Don't give up.

I'm reading and enjoying your reports.

I posted reports on my September trip. It took a little while, but each of them wound up getting around 300 views. I didn't get a lot of replies, but if 300 people looked at each day, I figured I was doing something right. Just be patient! People will read.

If it makes it easier for you, you can type your post in Word, and copy/paste it into the DIS. When you're done with the whole thing, it will be in a Word file for you. If you go back in a few years, you and your family are sure to enjoy reading it.

I never even thought of the fact that when I view the trip reports and do not respond that they will fall off the page. I love to read these but very seldom would respond, I'll watch that in the future!

Rana, as you can see, many people have very different reading styles. Some wait and read the reports when they are completely finished, some daily, some read and do not post. This does not mean that they are not enjoyed at all. I hope that you will continue. :)

Please don't be offended. I read trip reports but generally don't post to them. I don't get to read the reports on this board as often as I should. I try to get to reports at a leisurely pace. Please don't think that we don't appreciate your efforts to write them.

You have to understand that lots of us read these at work. I have to e-mail the reports to myself so that it won't look like I'm playing on the net, so I can't always respond. I love reading trip reports, but not enough to get fired over it!

Wow! Somebody has issues!! Nothing like a temper tantrum to get people to read! lol :D

Like the others have said, I wait till all installments are available and then I read. Different strokes for different folks.

Sandi, please take the time to finish these, the folks do like them. Several times I have suggested a note here for people to leave a word or two after viewing as it does something for the soul of the writer to see a nice word. So many people do look, but go on without a hi. You have a trip worth relating and you should tell it. :) Please! :)

I do try to respond to each trip report that I read. Though I have been so far behind that I am now just catching up.
