The Soundsational Parade seems to have dropped off the entertainment calendar, but I haven't seen any news about them ending the parade. What's the deal?!

Well, it had been common before the 60th Anniversary to only have parades on weekends in the off-season, and also a break in January to refresh everything and reboot, I presume that is what happening now. (The official site is really messed up right now, still listing Christmas Stuff)

A lot of folks are focused on the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade, including hiring, training and the rehearsal of the CM's that will perform.

The main Parade will be the MSEP nightly, and we might not get the return to the Soundsational Parade until Easter Break.

Yeah, that is strange. Before the 60th, I remember catching Soundsational at the end of Feb on a Wednesday. It was daily, not just on weekends.

Sooooo.....No day time parade at either park??? And they want us to pay more for FastPass and tickets???? Disney is getting cheap on us while demanding we pay more.

Last I heard (which was about a month ago), they are recasting for Soundsational - it's supposed to be back in the spring, but everyone has to re-audition. Unless something has changed (always possible), I'd assume it'll be back by Spring Break. A bunch of stuff was breaking down; the last week it was showing, it ran without the Mary Poppins float at least twice.

I have a former student who was in Sound/PTN, and another former student who is in Frozen. They're useful sources of information. :-)

On the flip side, they are presenting MSEP nightly once it starts up. Prior to PtN (and the 60th), there hadn't been a true nighttime parade in DL for quite a while, so in that way, you're still going to get a daily parade, just the timing has changed.

True. But I'm not a fan of MSEP. Not sure what all the nostalgia is about. It's like going to WDW and hoping that they bring back Fantasy in the Sky and get rid of Wishes....sure it's an old show that I saw on my first trip, but it's nothing compared to the new show. MSEP is old, out-dated, not nearly as "Disney" as Soundsational, and that soundtrack stopped being enjoyable 25 years ago. But that's my opinion.

The only upside is that if they're doing MSEP every night, maybe we'll be lucky when PtN comes back and they'll keep the nightly schedule.

Ever since the concept art came out I've been dying to see this parade, but as an East Coaster, I knew it would be a while before catching it. Finally made it to Disneyland for three days last summer, but couldn't see it because, ya know, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. Really frustrating!

I am finding myself in the LA area again this coming May - I hope everyone is correct that in the Spring (Easter time?) it'll come back. If I miss it then, I'll call it a lost cause.

I'm very disappointed there will be no daytime parade. Not sure how my kids will do in the evening hours and if they'd be up for the late parade.

The calendar is also showing some limited showings of World of Color in February & March.

Not good...

Agreed, really not sure why MSEP is so overhyped, It's a fun parade but average IMO

I don't know what the turn around time from auditions to performances, but Disney Auditions has a listing for "Female Parade Performers for Disneyland Resort" (and male) with a photo of Soundsational. This seems to imply that the parade will be back in the future.
