End of morning entry crowds?

We would like to enjoy the parks at a leisurely pace but still get in early in the morning (mainly to avoid the heat).
When do rope drop entry crowds dissipate - so that there are no more long queues at the turnstiles? 30 min after rope drop?

5-10 minutes, or so.

BUT... since they generally open the gates earlier than the posted "opening time,"
you won't know in advance exactly what time that will be.

Time your arrival for about "opening time" and see what the entry looks like before approaching the gates.

Just show up at rope drop, and hang back and shop at the gift kiosk before the turnstiles.

We like to time arrival for official opening time, and we've always found the rope drop crowds to already be through and in the park. We walk right up and through bag check with no line and through the turnstiles.

Soon after opening (sometimes they actually open before the scheduled time). The crowds will start building into the park around 2 hours or so after open so rope drop is something I always aim for.

OP I think that your plan is a really good idea, as long as you are not hoping to hit the super-headliners (e.g. TSMM) at RD (if you show up at 9:05 to DHS, by the time you get to TSMM the wait will be ~45-60 minutes). At MK, you will be able to do almost anything with little waiting for the first couple of hours (except for A&E, Mine Train) even if you don't arrive until 9:05.

Not sure this is what you are asking, but I find the parks very navigable until about 11 am, regardless of opening time. By 1 pm MK and Ak are getting close to miserably crowded (by my standards.)
