We missed on Fast Pass for Elsa & Anna. I hear that rope drop strategy is crazy. My question is does the Standy By Line end at 5 pm or do they cut it off early everyday? If they cut it off early, when is the latest that anybody had success getting in line?

Thanks - trying to make 2 DD's day!

I don't have an answer but have the same question, so thanks for asking. We didn't get FP either and my DD is gaga for Frozen. here's hoping something works out.

I have not been in the line in the afternoon so I cannot tell you what the cast members do or say to those getting in line around the time Elsa and Anna are advertised to leave, but I can share with you my personal experience. We were in MK last week (a week ago Saturday) and around 5:30 or so the wait time posted for Anna and Elsa was 120 minutes and their pic was still hanging (meaning they were still there meeting.) We went about our evening doing other things, and then returned to PFTH to see Aurora (and we figured Snow White) after Anna and Elsa were to be gone for the day and the line was gone as well. The picture out front was Aurora and the crown (symbolizing that a 'visiting princess' would be accompanying her.) The posted time was 20 minutes, but we literally walked right in (not even a 2 minute wait) and well, to our shock and surprise Anna and Elsa were in there with Aurora and we got to meet them with no wait at all.

AGAIN- they were not advertised as being there and it was a complete SHOCK to us. But I would certainly try in the later afternoon and see what happens. Even waiting 120 minutes is better than the 300 minutes that is often posted.

P.S> I heard from a CM, that Anna and Elsa also did a 'surprise' meet with Cinderella (YES, on the other side of the hall) one evening around 10pm. ;)

ETA: I'm adding this screengrab from my photopass page to show the time (7:19pm) we met with Anna and Elsa last Saturday night. Just showing that they don't leave exactly at 5:00pm ;) (and again, we had a ZERO wait!!) But their picture was NOT up outside, so they were not guaranteed to be there, or advertised as being there. Just wanted to be clear. :)

I can't say much about the lines since we don't go until June but I would say keep trying for a FP. People cancel and rearrange theirs all the time. You also might check the morning of your MK day. (Some people have claimed that Disney is holding back FPs to release on each day.)

Only a 380 minute wait time posted now.

Doesn't this prove the unreliability of the posted wait time? TP is reporting a posted wait time of 380 minutes at 3:15. Do the math. That means if you got in line now, your expected wait would carry you out until 9:35. But Anna and Elsa stop meeting at.........

Something doesn't add up.

Does MK have Princesses rotating in and out all day? In other words, when Cinderella, Rapunzel and Elsa/Anna are finished do they rotate in the other Princesses (during EMH)?

Maybe they "stop meeting" at 5 to make sure everyone in the line actually gets through before the park closes? Perhaps 5 is the cutoff time to let people in line?

TP is now showing 385 posted, 314 expected wait times.

I sure have no answer. It all seems very crazy to me. :confused3

Reminds me of Cabbage Patch, Elmo and Beanie Babies when my kids were little.

When I was there when they were in Norway though they were there until 7pm the line was closed around 6pm.

One side of Fairytale Hall has Cinderella and Rapunzel meeting ALL DAY (including EMH). The other side of Fairytale Hall has Anna and Elsa and a Visiting Princess (which is usually Aurora). If the picture out front is of Aurora, you will see her with A & E. If the crown is hanging next to Anna and Elsa's pic, you will see another visiting Princess (again, could be Aurora, or Jasmine (two most likely) or Belle, Tiana, Snow White, Ariel in human form, etc.)

Anna and Elsa are advertised as meeting only until 5pm, after that their side is usually Aurora with a visiting Princess (typically Snow White) but the same rule with the crown stated above applies.

Keep trying like crazy to get FP. I missed out also for FP for May 31. I was looking around 10 times a day. Finally two days ago I picked up FP for 10:15am. You never know when you will score.

We leave in 2 days and I got an A&E FP over the weekend for my DD. I was only able to get 1 and she was planning on waiting because she loves Frozen and the FP is at 9 am on her Birthday. I am a little worried about trying to get to the line with the crowds. It's on an EMH day too which I heard is worse! Any suggestions on how to circumvent the crowd? I was thinking that we could hop on the train and take it to Frontierland and approach from the side or the back.

Go have some fun enjoying short lines around the park until at least 9:30. Taking the train to Fronteirland won't get you anywhere close. You could get off in Storybook Circus, but that's not really close either.

I don't think she'll have any trouble getting to the FP line. I bet they keep that pretty clear.

The train will take you a bit out of the way (the Fantasyland station is back by the Silly Sideshow and PFTH is right behind the castle.) Honestly, I've done Rope drop several times since A & E moved to MK and it is not that bad. People now also have to follow a CM with a rope and they get routed around the carrousel to get in line for Anna and Elsa standby.

I assume your daughter's FP is for 9:00-10:00Am? If so, she would have until 10:15 to use it, so if she waits at least til 9:30 the opening crowd will have had a chance to get in place in the standby and the line will then be all within the queue and quite orderly. The FP+ entrance is off to the side and it has been a walk on with no wait in the mornings with FP+.

Just enter the park normally, take some time going down Main Street or possibly even stop and do a few rides or characters (Merida, Ariel perhaps) before her FP+ for A & E time, and take advantage of the lower crowds in the morning. Don't worry about being amidst a mob scene. :)

Great! Thanks for the tip!

The Mob creeps me out, lol! Really, I plan our trips to avoid stuff like that usually. What I won't do for my little girl <3

If you only have 1 FD for a DD, does a parent get to accompany them?

No. Anybody entering the line needs a FP.

I assume the PP won't have trouble with a 12 year old entering the line alone, but technically they have to be 14 to do an attraction unescorted.
