End of August - crowds?

To anyone that's been the last week of August- how do you think the crowds were? Is is true that most of the kids in the South are back to school by then? Thanks for the info!

I think this is a great time for you to visit. Schools in the Southern part of the US return during the first few weeks of August, depending on the location.
