I had a few WHOOPS! moments during our trip last week.
I was coordinating 5 different adult kids from 4 cities across the country. It got complicated
Long story short---it all, and I mean everything, worked out just fine. Here are my whoops:
**Reservation at Be Our Guest was 2 people short. Upon check-in, I confessed my mistake and it was no problem. Sat our entire party (7) together at the reservation time. While I was waiting in the check in line, which was loooong, I got to listen to many different sob stories about how they couldn't make a reservation and could they please get a table. No can do. No walk ups. At all.
**Forgot to link one person's FP to our rides so he was not "included" on Mine Train, Peter Pan or Haunted Mansion. All 3 were very nice about it and let him ride with our party. There's a double tap thing for wrist bands. Once he was blipped out of first, they do something so it goes green on the second tap.
**Reservation at Le Cellier ended up being 1 short because someone decided they really did want to have dinner there with us after all. Again, no problem but big heads up on that place. The staff they have working the host area are not the brightest bulbs on the string. Double check and make sure they have your info correct and are actually checked in. Nice kids, just a lot of mistakes and upset patrons in the lobby.
**Didn't link one of the wristbands correctly so all pictures on her band did not show up. Memory Maker/PhotoPass people were able to recover all within a minute. Really helpful and no problem.
Just posting because I know there is a lot of hand wringing and stress around here about planning and trying not to make any mistakes. I made a lot! Starting with forgetting the day I could book FP and ADR. I did all that more than a day late. It was fine. Even the hard to get stuff became available.
Oh, and those upset about not getting in to Anna and Elsa. It was a 20 minute standby time in the evening. One was a non-party night. Most rides were walk on during Xmas party. Even Mine Train was 15 minutes so people were doing it twice.
All character meets were less than 30 minutes standby, so I suggest not wasting a FP on those. You'll get in with minimal wait.
Get Memory Maker!! The videos are priceless. Worth every penny. I was hesitant and so glad we had it. Had about 500 shots and many of them really cool magic shots and videos.
