"ENCHANTED TALES with ROB" - A Birthday/Christmas DISer Celebration! **NEW TR LINK**

Now you've gone and put me in the mood for Christmas! I'm supposed to be gearing up for shore weekends!

Looks like an really great Christmas evening!

And MANTA!!!

Did I mention how much I HATE Manta, lol? I'm not sure I did when you were talking about how much you loved it, so I'll tell you now...I HATE Manta! :rotfl2: And I'm a roller coaster freak, I love them, love thrill rides. So when we were in Sea World in 2009, I thought, ok, I'll go on Manta, it looks awesome, I'm brave when it comes to roller coasters...it was AWFUL. I felt like I was going to fall to my death the whole time. I believe I was actually screaming for my mommy at one point, and Brandon just laughed at me the whole time...keep in mind, that before I brought Brandon to Disney the first time in 2008, and forced him to ride EE and RnRC, he had never ridden a roller coaster in his life! And now HE'S laughing at ME! :rotfl2: So yeah...no more Manta for me. :sad2:

Anyway! Great update! They had the Polar Express thing when we were there, but we didn't really understand what it was, we thought it was an actual train ride, so we didn't bother! Kinda glad we didn't, after your description of it! :rotfl:

OMG BABY DOLPHINS!!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes How did I miss them when I was there???

I really love all of the Christmas decorations they have now, it looks much better than it did when I was there! :thumbsup2

Ahhhh I would have lost my mind if I was there to see the Polar Express train! What a beautiful story and to see it in real life would have been amazing. :goodvibes

Awww baby dolphins!!!

Oh my goodness, how clueless am I?! I can't believe I called that Walrus a Sea Lion! :lmao: UM DUH LAUREN! That is most definitely a WALRUS! He looks so cute & chubby posing at the edge of the tank.

LOL the story about the lady is hilarious! I would've been cracking up, too.

BABY DOLPHINS?! AWWW!

Looks like a fun day!

What a bummer the Polar express overlay wasn't that good but you have to give them credit for trying. And that polar bear... SO cute.

Baby dolphins! How adorable. Someday I really want to do the Discovery Cove thing and swim with them, it's going to happen eventually!

Aww Clyde and Semor, I honestly think I like their show best, it's just too funny. I'm glad to hear the Christmas one was pretty good too!

Sea World looks gorgeous all decked out for Christmas!

That is too funny about the Polar Express overlay to the helicopter ride. I remember the helicopter ride being pretty lame, and even worse, there was a grammar error in the subtitles. Yes, I am one of "those" people who get indignant when the work insure is used instead of ensure, as it was in this case.

I love your comparison of the inactive polar creatures to the humans outside on the benches. We are not that far removed, after all.

Dolphin nursery? NO WAY!!! I can't even imagine the cuteness overload.

Sorry to hear that the Polar Express wasn't a great ride!

Hey I bet that guy had a very long day :lmao: I have been known to fall asleep on a Disney bus or two...:rolleyes1

That quartet of saxophonists looks like one very tiny group! They all look so short!

Awwwwwwww baby dolphins

Great update and can't wait to hear about the rest of the shows!

Wow that really does sound confusing! Sorry it wasn't very good, but the decorations and animals at the end look so great!

OMG that Dolphin Nursery! Now I really have to make my way to SeaWorld again one day, I would absolutely love that.

HAHA that woman looking for her group! :rotfl2:

Polar Express was Paxton's obsession this past Christmas. It seems like it could be really great in theory, but your description sounds wholly confusing, so I can only imagine how the actual attraction was. :rotfl:

Ha! I got really excited when I saw that they had re themed an attraction to the Polar Express. Sorry to hear that it was so confusing lol. Maybe Sea World should just leave the harder stuff to Disney....ha! And I am always up for pics of sleeping polar bears! Goodness the huge Christmas tree with the snow and ice in the background was breathtaking!

The one about the sleeping guy on the park bench :lmao: automatically thought of the gorilla exhibit at AK. And those poor guys playing their instruments....what is up with the costumes and more specifically the leggings? Did the same person who made that call happen to be the same one in charge of the polar express overlay? Ha!

A Dolphin Nursery!!! Oh my goodness. Just when you thought seeing dolphins up close was the best then they bring you to a section where there are mamas with their adorable little babies?! GAH! Favorites :goodvibes

Clyde and Seamore........:upsidedow that pesky little sea otter is always up to no good if I am remember that type of show right. BTW you were right about the dolphin show in San Antonio. Lol I thought the pics of your show looked familiar but a little off, I guess that explains it lol. In my defense we have not been to the one in SA since 2010 so......:rolleyes1

Oh my goodness the mime and the elderly confused lady.....bahahahaha! The poor dear. I probably would have been laughing and snapping pictures here too!

Can't wait to see more!

The look was fantastic, I'll give it that. And I really do appreciate the effort. But oh my word it is rough. That part was no different than the "Helicopter". Just painful. But yeah, the storyline just kept jumping around so very confusing. I think I've seen the polar bear active once. But even just seeing a polar bear, sleeping or not, is a pretty cool thing. Oh Jenn, the "North Pole" overlay WAS breathtaking. Since I've been through there before, I think it helped me to appreciate it all the more. This gets high marks from me for sure.

I could never ever sleep in public like that. It just could never happen. And he was LOUD!!! Hehe, I'm guessing you're not feeling the look, lol. Maybe not the most attractive outfits, but they were Christmassy. And I have to add, REALLY good.

This is one of my favourite spots easily. I wasn't kidding when I said I could spend hours there. Love it!!

Oh yes, indeed he was. He's a trouble maker. Absolutely, the shows do have some similar looks for sure. The one in San Antonio looks REALLY GOOD too!!! I like the dolphins featured in this manner as part of a show rather than just trainers getting them to do tricks.

Honestly, I half expected it would be revealed that she was a plant (she wasn't), because it was just the funniest thing. The poor mime at the end seemed just completely spent. The crowd loved it though.

great updates!!! those baby dolphins are SO CUTE. lol. I may die when i finally get to see them!!

Well hello little miss cast member!!! :) I swear Katt, you will enjoy SeaWorld. The downside of watching the nursery is dragging yourself away. Not easy.

So the Polar Express was pointless? Good to know. But I will give it to Seaworld - they sure know how to decorate for Christmas. I have been very impressed by all the Christmas pics I've seen from there.

Sounds like you are having a great day there and making me want to visit even more.

I don't know if I'd call it pointless, but I really didn't enjoy it. I appreciated the effort at least. I'll tell you what, they really do Christmas well. This really surprised me. I think they recognize that they are #3 when it comes to the big 3 in Orlando, so they really try to do as much as they can. I was very impressed.

It was a great day Mary Ellen. Now it's time for the night!!

Looks like an really great Christmas evening!

HAHAHA, I know. The danger of seasonal TR's.

For sure. And some great shows still to come.

You don't like Manta!!!!?????? In all honestly, I can see how it could scare even the heartiest coaster warrior. It is so different than anything else in Orlando. Of course that's the reason I love it.

Yeah, I think you made the right call there Jen. I think the simulator is getting old so it is brutally rough (at least to me), and again, it just didn't make sense to me.

They are really easy to miss because of where they are located. I bet loads of people walk right by honestly. It's very rarely crowded any time I've been there, and I have a particular spot I always go to.

I was super impressed. I think given their position, they try to go the extra mile, and it really shows. Just wait until nightfall.

Ahhhh I would have lost my mind if I was there to see the Polar Express train! What a beautiful story and to see it in real life would have been amazing. :goodvibes

Awww baby dolphins!!!

Yeah, the actual train out front is pretty new I think Tracy. I definitely see the appeal. I just wish the simulator wasn't so rough.

How cute are they???

BAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a momentary lapse I'm sure Lauren. He's pretty awesome and always gets a great crowd response when he comes out.

OMG I was dying. I felt bad for her, but I've never seen anything like it. The poor mime was trying to pawn her off on anyone who would take her.

Indeed, and actually overlooked by many. They're very easy to miss.

Looks like a fun day!

Super fun for sure.

I definitely give credit for the look and just doing something to make it Christmassy. But lordy it hurts, lol. So cute. Hard to believe this guy can be so mean.

I love to visit to new borns. They really are adorable, and very playful. Oh Jess, me too!!!! This is absolutely a dream of mine to swim with dolphins.

Aren't they great?? I was a bit disappointed in the Christmas show as I didn't feel it was as funny as I expected. It was still very good though.

Sea World looks gorgeous all decked out for Christmas!

You know Dee, I was so impressed by the decorating. It didn't seem like there were any areas missed. And at night it's a whole other level.

The helicopter is lame. Honestly it was a complete waste of time in my opinion. Hahaha, on the grammar. That should never happen in something like this. You have to wonder, does anybody check these things?

Nope, we're very much the same. Guaranteed, this guy was MUCH louder than that polar bear too.

It is cuteness overload. It's no lie when I say I could stay there all day. They're so much fun to watch and so playful. It's hard to leave.

Sorry to hear that the Polar Express wasn't a great ride!

Yeah, it just wasn't good in my opinion. Thankfully with Quick Queue I didn't have to wait long. It would have been much worse if I'd had a long wait.

Oh my lord Catlin, it just cracked me up. I can actually see falling asleep on the bus (though I probably still wouldn't be able to). At least you're not missing anything (except maybe your stop, lol). But this guy was totally wasting the day after spending money on a ticket (presumably). And My God could he snore!!!!

Hmmm, I think they were elves. I will say they were really good.

How cute are they???? And just try to leave. Believe me, it ain't easy.

Thanks Caitlin. I'm trying to finish the SeaWorld day soon. They next day was so jam packed and awesome, I just want to get on it.

Wow that really does sound confusing! Sorry it wasn't very good, but the decorations and animals at the end look so great!

OMG that Dolphin Nursery! Now I really have to make my way to SeaWorld again one day, I would absolutely love that.

HAHA that woman looking for her group! :rotfl2:

So confusing. I just didn't like it, but I'm glad I did it with a short wait. But Oh YEAH, the exhibit was wonderful. Really impressive North Pole overlay.

Hehe, it seems the Dolphin Nursery is going to get much more crowded now, lol. The babies really are so much fun to watch.

I swear Alexis, if I didn't know better I'd have thought she was a plant. The look on the mime's face every time she waked by was priceless. You just can't plan for stuff like that.

Polar Express was Paxton's obsession this past Christmas. It seems like it could be really great in theory, but your description sounds wholly confusing, so I can only imagine how the actual attraction was. :rotfl:

I wanted to like it so much too and was quite excited about it. It's just so darn rough. I think the fact that it didn't make sense was minor in comparison to that. I still appreciate the attempt at re-theming though.

Okay yeah, it doesn't seem like the re-themed ride makes any sense from what you said. Though it still does look cool from the outside and I do like The Polar Express because it's awesome. So that was nice.

Overall the whole Christmas atmosphere looks awesome. Like it'd be a great place to be at Christmas season. Maybe I'll try and convince Marie to get down to Sea World during the Christmas season ;)

Poor lost lady though. I mean, I'd have died of embarrassment if I were her, but from your pictures at least she was handling it well. Really, she should have just yelled Marco and waited for her group to yell back. That's what my family does and it has yet to fail us :thumpsup2

Nope it was a confusing mess Amber. At least from my perspective. The roughness bothered me most though. Just not pleasant. Now the look of it was fantastic. It might be worth seeing if only for that.

I was terrifically impressed. They did a lot of decorating, and just wait until you see some night-time pictures. It would be worth a day trip if you have the time. I'm sure Marie could be convinced.

God Bless that woman. I just wish I knew what was going on there AND I wish I knew how it all turned out. It was just the funniest thing though. That poor mime tried his very best to find her group. They actually did try a silent Marco Polo, but then it just became endless groups offering to take her in. No lie. I think people were falling in love with her and felt so bad, lol.

Um what the heck are the saxephonists wearing??? Very bizarre attire...

Very bizarre. I was totally down with it all until you hit the leggings. Then it all really just goes to hell, lol.

I totally agree about Wild Arctic. I love simulator rides but that one was just brutal.

Oh man, I've always wanted to try the Polar Express ride since that is one of my favorite Christmas movies. I feel like I wouldn't enjoy it based on your description, though.

SANTA!!! That's a huge bag. Pretty cool photo op.

Sleepy polar bear :lovestruc

SeaWorld is beautifully decorated. I love that giant wreath on the Voyagers restaurant.

Also, you should probably drop everything and go purchase an outfit just like the saxophone band was wearing.

CHRISTMAS MIME?! That's even better than pirate mime! I love when the audience gets into it.

Looks like a fun day at "the other park". Too bad the Polar Express wasn't as good as anticipated. Looks like a missed opportunity for something wonderful. That poor lady. Hope she found who she was looking for.

Sorry the Polar Express was such a bust.... :( I love the book and movie so you would think that the ride would have been awesome too.... About 4 hours from me in the mountains, they do a "real" train that is supposed to be like the Polar Express and you get to see Santa at the end but it is close to $200.00 to do it. YIKES!!!!

Who doesn't love a good Christmas show? I know I do!!

Now get back to Disney!! :rotfl:

Oh my girls loved the movie of Polar Express!!! Hailey really wants to go to seaworld but theres no way Riley would ever stand for it,so I will live through ur pics on that I guess and I'll be sure to show them to Hailey too!

Your shot of Journey to Atlantis was tempting me to post a link to an old trip report chapter of mine....:rotfl2:

I love Clyde and Seamore! And the mime is always a hoot!
