What exactly is this? And is it worth it? Or is it just someone reading a story? (Hard to tell from the description)

I'd say it's definitely worth a try at least once. Dunno if I will ever do it again. But the time I did was very memorable as I was chosen by Wardrobe to be a part of the show

So more or less it's an interactive tour/show with some interesting things to see. The house, Mirror, Wardrobe and Lumiere are worth it alone IMO.

Thanks for posting - I was wondering the same. I decided to FP+ it as the line is always so long.

My 4 year old Daughter LOVED it. She played the part of the horse in the show all the children (and some adults) put on for Belle. It was a fun time. It is the sort of thing you would do once on a trip. I will probably do it again until she in no longer interested. pixiedust:

We enjoyed it, its an interactive show with some cool special effects.

I was chosen to be a knight and my son was a spoon. It was fun being part of the show.

It was neat, but I am kind of glad we had a FP for it. i'm not sure I would have enjoyed it after waiting for 45-60 minutes.

We got pictures with Belle and because we had memory maker we got to download all the pictures.

When is the best time to go and see "ETWB"? Is it better to try and go earlier in the day or later in the evening?:confused3

The best time to go is with FP+! The line has always been long, every time we've gone!

Really fun though! My 4 year old daughter was the beast in February (she'd been practicing her roar for months...lol)

Thank you all. I'll note it as one of our FP uses. My DD will be 5 on the trip and is really getting into princesses (as long as the beast isn't scary)

Honestly, we weren't that excited about trying this one, and happened up a line with no wait one day, so hopped in.

It was great! Our girls loved it, and our oldest was picked to be a part of the show. Our very shy little one declined but she was still allowed to go up and get pictures with Belle at the end.

There are some pretty neat surprises in there, and DH is still talking about ETWB...he said the other day that Disney "hit it out of the park on that one". I think just because we were so surprised and the interaction between Belle and our youngest daughter was priceless. :goodvibes

Check youtube, there are a few complete walkthroughs of ETWB if you want to see what it looks like.

It was fun. We probably won't do it again as we thought the Storytime with Belle was better but it was limiting in guests they could accommodate so I understand the change. Be warned though if any member of your party is in the story the time for pictures afterwards can be brief so get ready to take your pictures. Unfortunately a man stood in front of my husband the entire time after being asked by both my DH and the CM to move so he missed out on getting a picture of our daughter. DH asked the CM if it is possible to have another quick opportunity because the man was blocking DH but the CM said Belle was late for dinner so she couldn't. I understand why this would be response however the CM was one of the people asking the man to move but the man ignored both of them. We did get the photopass card but still, be prepared.

Well worth it. My 5 year old grandson got to be the beast . . . so not scary. Interactive and fun!

I thought it was cute and the animatronics and effects were really cool. It's a great interactive attraction for kids.

But even if you are an adult only group its definitely worth giving a look at least once. I just wouldn't use FP+ for an adult only group but instead hit it late at night when lines are shorter (I hit it right after the fireworks and had a 5 min wait last April, two weeks after Easter)

I'd say it's definitely worth while to see once, especially if you have kids/princess fans. The "story telling" itself isn't the greatest, but some of the effects throughout the attraction are great!!

Be aware though that if you do want a picture with Belle, she 1: does not sign autographs, and 2: get in the line as they are finishing up the play, sometimes cm's will mention something, sometimes they won't.

I would suggest doing it either early on, or later after the fireworks as it does get crowded, and does take up a lot of time

I have a question about ETWB. On the day I went, they let people go up to have their picture taken with Belle afterwards. However, they made an announcement that ONLY the Photopass photographer could take the picture, that we were all supposed to put our cameras away. Since I've never used Photopass, I asked the photographer how much it costs and she said, rather rudely I thought "It doesn't cost anything to have the picture taken. You only pay if you choose to buy the picture" and turned away. At that point I left. Does anyone know if this is true-to get your picture taken afterwards, you have to use Photopass? Or did I go on a bad day, and ordinarily it's no problem to have a picture taken with your own camera?

Since I have already purchased Photopass and reports are coming in that fewer photographers are out in the parks, I plan to use a FP+ for this at an odd hour, jump up and down with my hand raised to be part of the show and hope for the best. I would be happy to be a knight or anything. I am a 57 year old grandmother travelling with my DBF. What are the odds of a photo?

As far as I remember, everyone who played a part in the play got a photopass photo taken of them and a couple of them acting with Belle too. I played the wardrobe and during the whole thing the photographer was taking photos. Every actor got a chance for a personal photo with Belle at the end and then the photographer gives everyone in the play a little photopass card with a code on the back. You go online and type the code in to redeem the photos. The code includes all photos taken from that session, not just including you but everyone else too. I don't think you actually need photopass plus to redeem the photos online but I could be wrong?
