How weird would it be? I've never seen it, as when I took my GS, he had no interest at all.

Dh & I went to it twice not long after opening. We had no qualms about being there and we are retirees :-) We were interested in how the magic mirror/door worked LOL It was all very cute, but we don't need to go again.

Last time we did it, fairly early in the morning, half the groups didn’t have any kids. Adults without kids do it all the time. You can volunteer for a part if you’re not picked too; at the end they ask if anyone else wants a part, just step forward. If you don’t want to volunteer but do want a photo you can join the back of the line.

I haven't done it yet, but DH and I have it on our TP for our first adults only trip! None of my kids would be interested, but I love Beauty and the Beast.

It's not weird, so go for it. I dragged my DGD into that attractions becuase I wanted to see the inside. She was bored to tears, and has refused to ever go again, however I enjoyed it. The details alone are worth the wait IMO, although now that I have seen it, I have no desire to go again.

My gf and I did it last year and we don’t have kids. The theming inside the house is really cool and it was adorable the same way Jedi training is adorable to watch. It was very much one and done but we enjoyed it. Don’t let random people dictate your experiences in a place meant for everyone.

Who cares if anyone thinks it's weird, or not?

If you want to see it, just go.

Oh, I should have specified. :) My friend is 64, and has never been to WDW and I'm not sure she's even seen any Disney movies in the last 30-40 years.
I'd like to do it, but don't want to weird her out. She is having me do all the planning, and she'll just show up. The only thing she said is "no upside down" (no RNR I guess).

It is not weird at all. The special effects are cute. They are worth doing it once to see them. After the first time, the story time tends to get really tedious. My DD loves Belle and loves meet and greets and really likes to meet her in the yellow dress-- but even as a little kid she gave it up after the first couple of trips ETWB was there because she hated having to sit through the story time to get to the photo op with Belle-- she also hated how rushed it was. She preferred meeting Belle in the yellow dress, but would settle for her in the Blue dress at EPCOT to avoid ETWB. The first time, it is kind of cute seeing the kids participating-especially if there are any comical kids in the bunch.

Not weird! We have done with all adults many times. Note: if you want a pic with Belle - it will not be offered to adults, but if you let the CM know you want to and are ready at the end of the kid line they will let you get a pic for your whole group (very fast - one pic not multiple poses). It was a great pic for us though!

I love the magic mirror, the wardrobe and Lumiere !

In that case, I'd clarify with her what type of attractions she enjoys. She's going to Disney without kids so I'd say there's at least a chance she'd be interested, but I'd want to know what her idea of the ideal day was--mostly rides? A mix of rides and shows? More adult focused (Epcot festivals, thrill rides, etc) or a more balanced mix of family friendly and adult focused?
