Family of 5.... I know these will be impossible to get (hoping since its an 8 day trip) -- but ages of kiddos are 19, 17 and 12 - this will be trip #20 and kiddos realy want to so something different. Anone done but Savor the Savanna and Wild Africa Trek? What is the difference? also what about Starlight? Thinking they may not even enjoy the Savor?

We've done both and they are very different. With kids that age, I would expect the Wild Africa Trek to be a better choice - more interesting, more challenging, and very unique. We truly enjoyed the Savor the Sav tour, also - but it's much calmer. In some ways, it's like a slow, more private Kilimanjaro Safari, with snacks. Either would be a great experience for 'something different', but we'd recommend Trek.......

I've done both. Savor the Savannah was enjoyable, but Wild Africa Trek is a really great experience.

Since you commented on them being impossible to get (I know it is difficult) I thought I'd tell you my experience yesterday. I got on right at midnight and was able to get Wild Africa Trek on day 6 of our trip. All times were available. We are only a duo, but still thought I'd share.

trek was awesome, i highly recommend it if money/time is no object, everyone is fit and meets the height/weight criteria, and it's not starting at noon in hot season.

starlight was great as well, much less $ and time commitment and you can do it late. but trek was probably the coolest thing i have ever done at WDW.

I have done Wild Africa Trek 3 times, it is AMAZING! I would do another 3 if I could afford it :rotfl: :rotfl2: I have never done Savor, but it sounds like halfway between Kilimanjaro Safari and Wild Africa Trek. I would do WAT, with 8 days you should hopefully get it!
