Empress of the Seas/Cuba

I'm heading out on the Empress for a 5-night cruise to Key West with an overnight in Havana in August and I'm SUPER excited!

Has anyone cruised this ship (or itinerary) recently? I know she's a much smaller ship, but I'm excited for the cultural immersion across both on-ship offerings and in port.

Does the Empress leave out of Ft Lauderdale? I’m looking for a 3 night that includes Cuba that leaves from Ft Lauderdale. Anyone that has done this?

I booked the Empress out of Miami for a March 2019 8-night Best of Cuba cruise. I sailed twice on Monarch of the Seas (sibling to current Majesty of the Seas) - so I know the cabin will be tiny. That's okay with me, as I booked it for the itinerary.
