Curious (in texting or otherwise) if you use emoji colors associated with your skin tone (white, black, brown, whatever), the "Simpsons" default yellow, or it depends?

Honestly, I'd have to go back and look - it's most likely whatever default color comes up first. I don't go searching for a particular skin tone.

I don't tend to use the more realistic faces like you posted. I typically stick to the round yellow smiley and thumbs up. When faced with a choice of skin tones, I guess I go with whichever one my finger hits first hand if it is a hand signal one, I pretty much am too busy praying I am not accidently flipping the bird to care what color it is.

I haven't used those faces, it was just the first image that came up when I searched.

I use the generic yellow. A former coworker (maybe two?) used the skin tone, which seemed strange to me.

We have similar emojis in our work chat. I use similar to my skin tone and hair color in both texts and at work.

Did they change their skin tone to go along with the season (assuming they were white)? ;) My skin tone is completely different in July than it is in February.

I use the one closest to my skin tone (and hair color if that’s an option). It just makes more sense to me I guess.
