Woo Hoo! Steve Carrell and The Office were nominated!! :thumbsup2

Also Scrubs and Arrested Development in the best comedy category, but as much as I like those shows, nothing tops The Office! :happytv:

Who are you routing for?

The SciFi channel never gets any nominations, :sad2: They are the undiscoverd treasure in the world of Television :happytv:

Arrested Development? Hasn't that been off the air too long?

That was one of my all-time favorite shows. I'm really hoping that maybe Showtime picks it up, but seeing that Jeffrey Tambor has a new show this fall on the "big 3" (forget which one), that seems unlikely.

Fox has some of the best shows and then cancels them in the height of their popularity. :confused3

I know what you mean. I loved Arrested Development too, but it just wasn't getting the audience that it needed to stay on. I really think Fox tried everything it could to keep the show on, but it was just no use.

I posted about that show here and it got a handful of replies, but it died quickly, so that might be an indicator :confused3

How I Met Your Mother and Lost

Both Neil Patrick Harris and Terry O'Quinn deserve statues.

Thanks for the info. I love The Office! I can't wait to see what happens next season between Jim and Pam. That was quite a cliffhanger! :sunny:

I'm glad to see Grey's, Scrubs, Kiefer, & Jamie Pressly nominated.

I will be so glad next year, when Will & Grace and Malcolm in the Middle are truly gone & can stop taking over all the noms - I never watched either show.

I love love LOVE Julia Louis Dreyfus' show and am so glad she was recognized!

Lost was absolutely SNUBBED???? WhatisUPwiTHAT???

Missing: War at Home! That show is GREAT!

Glad that Desp Housewives was left out mostly, also. This year was abysmal.

Okay, I'm not happy. :furious:

Not only is "Lost" shut out, but so is "Prison Break." Robert Knepper/T-Bag wasn't nominated???? Oh, that is so wrong.

Although according to msnbc.com the list for the writing categories and several others are still to be announced, so we'll see.

Umm, I just noticed that Hugh Laurie wasn't nominated for House. DW MeanLaureen won't be happy about that one. Would someone tell her for me? Thanks. ::hiding::

Here are the ones I'm rooting for:

Outstanding Drama Series:The West Wing - though the show had a rough 6th season, the final season was really great again. I think the actors all did a wonderful job.

Outstanding Comedy Series: I don't have a pick here--I haven't seen any of the nominated shows

Lead Actress/Drama: Allison Janney (The West Wing) - she is such a gifted actress. I hope she gets another role soon as I'll miss seeing her on TV

Lead Actor/Drama
: Kiefer Sutherland (24)

Lead Actress/Comedy: no pick here--I don't watch any of the shows

Lead Actor/Comedy: same as above

Supporting Actress/Drama: Jean Smart (24) --oh my goodness, Jean Smart was WONDERFUL in this season of 24. She played the character perfectly.

Supporting Actor/Drama: Alan Alda (West Wing) -- he was wonderful, as usual :)

Supporting Actress/Comedy: no pick

Supporting Actor/Comedy: no pick

I really wish they would show a bit more orginality with the nominations. It seems like the same old people get nominated every year. It's boring. I can't believe Lost was snubbed!

Outstanding Drama Series: Grey's Anatomy
Outstanding Comedy Series: The Office
Lead Actress/Drama:Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer)

Lead Actor/Drama: Peter Krause (Six Feet Under)

Lead Actress/Comedy: really not rooting for any of them

Lead Actor/Comedy: Steve Carell (The Office) although I can't believe Jason Lee wasn't nominated

Supporting Actress/Drama: Chandra Wilson (Grey's),

Supporting Actor/Drama: None of them

Supporting Actress/Comedy: Jaime Pressly (My Name Is Earl)

Supporting Actor/Comedy: Jeremy Piven (Entourage)

I will be so glad when W&G is finally gone.

When is Lauren Graham going to get nominated for Gilmore Girls!?!

I'm excited for the Grey's nomination nods.. I wish Ellen Pompeo had been nominated. I thought she had some great moments this season, like the bomb episode and the "you don't get to call me a *****" speech.. :thumbsup2

Here is what I would like to see:
Outstanding Drama Series: 24!
Outstanding Comedy Series: I would be super happy with either Scrubs or The Office

Lead Actress/Drama: I didn't watch any of those shows.

Lead Actor/Drama: Kiefer Sutherland

Lead Actress/Comedy: Jane Kaczmerek or Julia Louis-Dreyfus, although I enjoyed Stockard Channing as well. Toss ip for me, I guess. LOL

Lead Actor/Comedy: Anotehr difficult category for me. I LOVE Comedies! I'll say Steve Carrell.

Supporting Actress/Drama: I thought Jean Smart did an outstanding job!

Supporting Actor/Drama: I don't really have a favorite here.

Supporting Actress/Comedy: Jaime Pressly

Supporting Actor/Comedy: Bryan Cranston. I am really going to miss Malcolm in the Middle. :(

How did I forget him? I agree, he deserves it, even over Locke. Wentworth was even better than some of the other people nominated IMO.
