Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas

Was this a staple of anyone else's childhood? I remember watching this every year. I was at Wal-Mart a few days ago, picking up some last minute items, and was just perusing the DVD's, not looking for anything in particular. There it was, all by it's lonesome...Emmet Otter! There was no price on it, but I had to have it. I brought it home and put it on for my kids (you know it's for my kids, right? RIGHT??? ). Wow...what a flash to the past!!

Now, if only I could find a copy of the Sesame Street Christmas show...the one where Big Bird waits up all night to see Santa, but falls asleep and misses him...for my kids, of course.

It was alwas the day after Christmas when we weretaking down the tree. These are actually some of my most vivid childhood memories. Strange, huh?

I bought a copy of this at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago too, for $9.88!

I was thrilled to find it!!

Just a few days before I had e-mailed Netflix to try and get them to offer it.
