EMM or PPO BOG?

Currently for Oct 2nd I have a PPO BOG reservation. (We are on the dining plan and will use QS credits for our meals so no need to sound off on how expensive the breakfast is) Plan is to eat and then get out there for the early SDMT ride. Well now there is an EMM scheduled for that day. I'm not sure if that will impact my plan much. Basically the BOG is the cost of the QS credits and it gets us an early ride, maybe. The EMM would be about $500 four our party. I have other days with FP+ for SDMT, seems like BOG is the way to go at this point, but just wondering what others thought.

I think you've answered your own question. By the time you've eaten, the EMM people will have likely moved on from their multiple SDMT rides and will be eating their own breakfasts. I just don't think there are so many people at EMM that they'll have any impact on your rides. You're still competing mainly with all of the PPO people and the RD masses running your way. I think the price of EMM basically gets you an almost empty Fantasyland for an hour. If you're perfectly happy with the BOG breakfast and maybe getting an early ride, I'd say stick with what you have. Determining what has "value" or "worth" in an experience is so personal. I'll also add that we're doing an EMM at HS because to us, the worth comes in not dealing with the crowd at RD or rushing through breakfast. My DD gets almost panicky in the crowds, so this is kind of my gift to her.

You'll still be able to ride SDMT without a long wait. By the time you finish with breakfast, the EMM people will be finished with it and moving on to "rope drop" other rides.

By the way, you don't ALL have to order a meal if you want to save a few credits. Get enough meals to share and then move on. You'll also have the pastries. Just please buy drinks for any who want one, but don't get a meal.

Are the ADR people still held back on EMM days? Granted it was back in June, but my friends reported back that they were not allowed on with the EMM guests until the park had "officially" opened.

If you're staying in a Disney resort--and you must be if you have a dining plan--you should just plan to attend morning EMH. Unless, of course, you're taking a short trip that doesn't include the day it's scheduled.

From reports here, there is a little of both, and it probably depends on the CM working. Some have said they were held at an interior rope in FL until the rope drop crowds were headed in. That still puts you ahead of them. Others have said they were allowed into the standby line with the EMM people using the FP line.
