We will be attending in July, coming from Poly. What would be the best transportation? Is Resort Monorail running, or resort boats?
Also, do they let EMM in earlier than the RD crowds, or at same time?
Last, do they have IASW or Tea Cups open too? I thought I saw someone had posted they rode those as well, just trying to get an idea of a possible plan of attack after we are done with EMM. :goodvibes
Thanks!!

When we went last week EMM and people with pre park reservations were all pet in at the same time (7:45). Make sure to go to the left as you approach the castle. They won't let you through if you try to go around to the right!!

Also, only things open for us were 7DMT, PPF, and Winnie the Pooh.

When we did EMM we had 7DMT, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Carousel and Tea Cups. I think that maybe they included Carousel and Tea Cups because 7DMT was not working consistently. We got a couple of 7DMT rides, but then they had trouble with it. They did tell us we could Fastpass 7DMT until noon (just needed to show our bracelets). EMM is awesome! We are booked to go again this August - can't wait! Enjoy :goodvibes

Commenting to see responses. I was wondering the same thing about early morning transportation from the Poly. November will be our first time staying there and although we have taken the Poly boat to MK after eating at Ohana, I wondered if it fills up and/or has a long wait in the morning right before the park opens.

Thanks! I was so excited to see it open up for my July trip. My DS5's favorite ride is SDMT, so hopefully it's running for us!!
Stinks that they say 7:45, but we don't get let in until then, ah well...

I have been wondering since the Resort monorail isn't always reliable, and I hate to walk to TTC and wait thru security there. Hopefully we'll get some responses to guide us!! :)

We took the monorail from the GF last October. The carousel, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and mine train were all running. We had 2-3 carousel rides, 7-8 mine train rides, 1 pooh and 1 Peter Pan. I have seen other rides open for others, but usually only when mine train has been having difficulties. We were let into the park at the same time as all of the breakfast reservation holders.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I really hope the monorail is running for us, makes it so much easier!

Another question I meant to ask:

When did you all eat?

I did two last year, huge EMM fan here. I was at Poly for one of them, on that particular day the resort monorail was running that early so that's what we took.

When it comes to the resort monorail, definitely pay attention to the monorail hours in effect for the dates you are there. The only way to know for sure is to pick up a Times Guide in the lobby, they publish a new one each week. This website usually posts it as well and is a good bookmark: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

As you can see, for this last week the resort monoral was running at 7AM each day, which would be perfect for getting to EMM. BUT resort monorail hours can and will change from week to week, so you can't depend on history. Last year there were definitely some EMM mornings where the resort monorail had a later start time, so just pay attention.

If the resort monorail isn't running, I'd opt for the resort launch as your next option.

At our first EMM, 7DMT was down at the start so IASW and Tea Cups were running, in addition to PP, Pooh, and the Carousel. FWIW, we had unlimited FP line access to 7DMT through noon to make up for it being down, which worked out well for us. At the second one, no issues with 7DMT so it was just that, PP, Pooh, and Carousel.

Hope that helps. Have fun!

Last time we were at Contemporary, so we walked to MK (super convenient). This trip we are at POP, so hopefully we get there on time!
As far as eating, we grabbed juice and a pastry around 8:30am, just to keep us going.
At 9:00am we did other rides (Haunted Mansion, IASW, Ariel ride) then ate breakfast around 9:45am. It was still hot and fresh. They did not rush us out of breakfast.
We too are big EMM fans. Can't wait to go again this August!!!

AWESOME!! THANK YOU, very helpful info! Now I have a better idea of timing for Fps-make those next Saturday :goodvibes

Thanks for the link for the monorail info too!

We went to EMM last August. We actually got there a bit late, missing the first 15 minutes. Apparently, 7DMT had been down at the beginning of the EMM, but was running when we got there. As a result, the carousel was running, and we were able to use the FP line for 7D until noon. Even with missing the first 15 minutes, we were able to get quite a few rides on 7D as well as a couple on PP and Pooh, and then took advantage of the rope drop crowds to hit a few other things before heading for breakfast around 9:45. As a PP stated, the food was hot and fresh, and we felt no pressure to get done. We were able to take our time and eat, and there were still other people there eating when we left.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we will be repeating it this August.
