EMM at MK cancellations?

What are my chances of getting EMM - MK when it's all full? Has anyone been tracking to see if cancellations happen? We are looking for the week after Thanksgiving for a family of 5.

It happens, but obviously not something you can predict. For five? I’d be doubtful.

All you can do is refresh like a mad man and check reservations like you have OCD. I was able to get 4 into DHS EMM after it was already sold out on 11-28. Cancellations definitely happen.

There's a 1 day cancellation policy for EMM, so it never hurts to keep checking.

I'm assuming this is for 11/27? My guess is that date may be tough. Disney originally had Sunday 11/25 on the EMM schedule but cancelled it back in July (for unknown reasons). Their default offer to affected guests was to move them to another EMM date, and I'm sure there's a decent number who moved to 11/27.

I'd be hopeful. I'm actually going to probably be canceling for that date, but only for four. I do hear a lot of people talk about canceling EMM's...I think many book when they are not really sure if it will work with their plans, but because you can cancel until 1 day before, you're not out anything. Plus, with how late Disney has been adding events, it is really messing with people's plans. The very late addition of a DAH date a week or so ago is the reason we will probably be canceling.

DAH isn't until the following week. If you do cancel, I'd love a heads up as to when. It's possible we could split our group up (although that might not happen). I do check daily, but perhaps not at the right times.

There is a DAH date on 11/26, the night before my EMM date on 11/27. I've booked the DAH on 11/26 so that is why I'm thinking of canceling the EMM for the next morning. Is 11/27 not the date you are looking for? There is a DAH date that week, the week after Thanksgiving.

Yes, we are looking at 11/27. I didn't see DAH for that week. I'm going to look at that, but we can more easily wake up early, then stay up late.

DAH is like a MVMCP party?, but without a being able to get a Sorceror's of the Magic Kingdom card, so I think DH would prefer the MVMCP. Still, morning works better for us. I'm not sure we have the stamina to make a night event worth it.
