Okay, probably a stupid question... I just want to make sure I understand this. On May 11th the calendar reads Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hour in the Evening. So, If I go to MGM Studios on May 11th and stay until 9 then can I go to MK until midnight? We do have park hopper tickets.

Yes, you're right (as long as the MK closes at 9pm, I didn't check)! They start handing out EMH wristbands about 2 hours prior to when it closes to the public, so you might want to go a little earlier. Don't forget to plan in transportation time. I was just there last week, and we did pretty much the same thing, except we left the non EMH park around dinner time to go to the EMH park. I think crowds will be much heavier in May though, b/c of the anniversary. Crowds were very light last week.
