EMH - Take advantage or Avoid Those Parks

We get park hoppers and so a park with EMH in the AM and the park hop to another park around lunch - lunch is about the tiem when alot of famiiles seem to leave to go back to the resorts to give littles time for naps. + for about 1:30/2PM - that way we can gett as many attractoins in using the kiosks as we can

In the mornings I've only seen Fantasyland and Tomorrowland open for EMH. We ride things there then wait for regular opening near Columbia Harbor House/Tangled Tinkle Spot. You have a bit of a head start and lower crowd levels for the walk to Frontierland from there.

If I wake up early enough, I'll go to the morning EMH park - spend a few hours hitting the attractions and when it starts to get crowded move to a different park.

For evening EMH, if I'm not tired I'll hop to that and spend a couple of hours there. If I'm tired, I don't bother and stay in the park where I'm at. I really like park hoppers.

I attempted not to park hop on my last trip just as an experiment and I just couldn't stay in one park all day - I had to hop. LOL Luckily I've got an AP right now so it didn't cost me more money to do it.

If you can get to the morning EMH, I'd recommend doing it and getting as much done as possible until late morning when crowds build. Then do lunch and head back to your resort for a break (or not) and hop to a non EMH park. We are avoiding them this trip bc I don't think we can get there that early. I'm a night owl so late night EMH would be perfect for me but I'll have my two boys under 5 and my two mid 60s parents with me so I doubt we can take advantage. Unfortunately, either Disney added evening EMH on our DHS day or I missed it when scheduling (most likely the latter) so we aren't able to completely avoid it. That's our last night before departure day so even more reason not to take advantage, though.

Quick question on morning EMH at MK - last time we were in WDW we hit the MK for morning EMH in hopes of riding our favorite Thunder Mountain RR a couple of times before the regular crowd hit. We were surprised/disappointed to see that they had Frontier Land roped off until 9:00. When the roped dropped for that section the size of the crowd waiting to invade was insane. Is it typical that they have Frontier Land excluded from EMH or was that an unusual circumstance that we were just unlucky to hit? We're heading back down in late June and need to decide if we should get up early for MK EMH or not. Thanks!

You were not unlucky. BTM is not open during early EMH. Here's a link to what is open: http://allears.net/tp/emhour.htm

I believe it is normally only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland that are open for a.m. EMH.
