The day we arrive MK is open until 1 am. DH and I were thinking about hitting it up after the kids are asleep so around 9 pm or so until closing. How busy is it usually this late at night? It's after Wishes and everything. Would it be worth it to do Fastpasses this late in the evening or just see what we can see/ride what we can ride before the craziness of our vacation really starts? We already have fastpasses for everything later in the week with our kids this is just a bonus (married ppl time) TIA.

Just to be perfectly clear - the kids will be with Grandma! lol

You don't mention what date you are going. This is a great time to go to the MK and the park isn't that busy. I would go ahead and make FP+ selections for the most popular attractions you want to do as that can't hurt anything. Usually the lines are pretty short once the EMH start except for possibly Space Mountain.

(Wearing my parent hat) OP- Your kids are old enough to sleep unattended in the resort room while you head out to a park?

I think there is another adult going with the OP's family.

During EMH, FP is not available. Ride lines should be shorter during EMH.

sorry for questioning- you'd be surprised at how many people WOULD leave a 4 and a 6yo sleeping to go to disney. :scared1:

and yes- I have looked at EMH wait times on touring plans and easy wdw- totally worth it IMO. Most rides- even the headliners (besides 7DMT) are 20 minutes or less and that's in the middle of July.

You can get a lot done late in the evening both during and after the parades and fireworks.

For comparison purposes, we did the following in the last 4 hours MK was open (8 pm - midnight) in early June on a non-EMH night without FP+.

Big Thunder 3x
Splash Mtn 2x
Space Mtn 2x
Mine Train (10 min wait right a closing time)
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Pooh
Peter Pan
Speedway
Barnstormer 2x

Earlier in the week, we had EMH until 3am and every attraction except for 7 Dwarfs was a walkon.

HAHA! No lol.... don't worry I'm not letting a 6 & 4 yr old to their own devices while we go romp around the parks. They will be with grandma ;)

And we are going Mid-September. Thank you everyone! Hubby and I will definitely be hitting up MK late night then to take advantage of the lower crowds.
