EMH question for off-site stay

We are planning a short getaway trip to WDW next week and are staying offsite for the first time in a long time. We have annual passes and we have family coming who have purchased hopper tickets that have been added to their Magic Bands. MK has EMH 8-9 before the park officially opens at 9.

Is there a hard and fast exception that would prevent us from entering until the clock strikes 9 a.m. or if we got there 10 minutes or so early, would we be allowed in?

I'm not trying to break any rules, just trying to avoid holding up the line at the entrance or being turned away.

The system needs to recognize a current onsite stay for you to be let in early. That's not to say they won't let general admission folks in a few minutes early, but it will be when they are ready for that second rope drop.

They will hold you until 9, but you won't be holding up any lines. The EMH people will have their own section of tap points to enter at by that time, and you will be in line with the other regular opening guests. You won't be turned away, just waiting in a line. I would in fact highly recommend you get there earlier than 10 minutes beforehand to have a good place in the line.

FYI: For evening EMH you actually don't have to leave the park, but you will not be allowed into any attraction queues. If you plan to do any shopping or whatever though, you can, and it's a good time to do it since it won't eat into your regular park hours.

Yea you'll have to wait until 9 but you'll be waiting with many others. They usually use around 2-3 lines for EMH guests and the rest are for standby to wait at
