for the night time extra magic hours, do they give out wrist bands to the onsite guests?

They used to because they cleared the park of non-resort guests. Now they allow non-resort guests to stay to shop and eat (spend money) but only resort guests can go into atttactions.

Wrist bands were used to identify resort guests for EMH. Non-resort guests were allowed to stay and spend money at restaurants/gift shops, etc, but could not enjoy any attractions.

Non-ticket holders at parties were directed to the exits.

Years ago when EMH started all non-resort guests were expected to leave.

Out of curiosity, do you know how long Disney kept it that way after EMH's began? We started taking our daughters to Disney in 2006, not sure if it had already changed at that time or not, but I think it had.

I've always been curious as to when EMH began, and when Disney made the change to allow non-resort guests to stay during evening EMH's.
