I need a clarification of the wording for EMH.

The wording for EMH states that a designated evening hours park may be open for "UP TO 3 hours" after regular closing hour. Is the experience of everyone that each parks does stay open for an extra 3 whole hours? or do some parks just stay open for 1 or 2 hours? And how do we figure that out when making plans?

When on Tuesday AUG 9 it lists AKL 9:00 - 7:00**....does that mean that it normally stays open to 7:00 and then add on 3 hours? Or is it that normally it is open to 6:00 and they are adding on only 1 hour? That seemed to be the only day it stays open to 7:00??? The other parks did not seeem to do this?

If the schedule shows park hours at 9am-7pm and it's an EMH day, that means that the EMH will START at 7pm and that it will be "up to" three hours. All evening EMHs so far have been three hours long, but Disney uses the "up to" qualifier so that if they, for example, need to add on an EMH in a park in order to alleviate crowds, they can add one or two hours at the end of a day without anyone claming, "Hey! You promised me three hours!" It's the same as putting "Subject to Change" at the end of EVERYTHING -- just basic CYA stuff.

We will be in the World on Aug. 9th as well---just trying to decide if we want to particpate in the EMH hrs or avoid those parks. Is there a way to be at one park--then head to the park w/ the EMH hours at the time they are about to start--or do we need to be in the park w/ the EMH hours before it starts?

It depends on the type of ticket you have. If you have a park-hopper option on your ticket, then you can start at one park and then "hop" to (or away from) the one with the EMH, no problem. If your tickets do not have the hopper option, then you need to be in the EMH park already in order to participate.

We will have the hopper options--but I read somewhere that you had to obtain a braclet like 2 hours prior??? Is that right? It would be nice to leave one at close and hop to the other for an extra 3 hrs!!

^They start giving the bracelets out 2hrs prior, and when the park closes they hand them out at the turnstyles
