EMH at DHS going away

I read an article in Mainstreet Mouse. They did have an end date so think it is legit.
The only reason they have an end date is because it isn't on the Disney calendar after that date. But it hasn't been on the calendar after that date for several months. I noticed it back in November when they released hours for June and I saw it wasn't there so I did some research.

That last few times I've done PM EMH at HS I didn't find it to be worth it!

Wow-thanks-I've been seing the rumors, but didn't know we had confirmation.

Are they going to 2 AM EMHs like they did with DAK?

Thanks.
DAK had 2:00 am EMH? I have never heard of that. Did I miss this some where?

The article I read did not say anything about increasing the morning EMH at HS so not sure if that will happen.

Good point.

When they cancelled the PM EMH at DAK,
they -at the same time- added an additional AM EMH at DAK per week,
to the calendar.

In THIS current case (with DHS) they simply have not listed any PM EMH after the date in question and have not added an additional day of AM EMH.

This, alone, might indicate that Disney has simply NOT POSTED the PM EMH for DHS, rather than this being a formal end to them, entirely.

I am here to say that absolutely ANYTHING can happen regarding WDW scheduling at any time...
But, I don't have full faith that any other "fan site" knows any more about what's happening than the DIS.

There are plenty of insiders and/or close contacts of insiders on this board, and nobody on this site has
stated any facts in this issue one way or the other.

So...
CAN the PM EMH be toast at DHS?
You betcha!

But, do we know this as fact at this point?

I don't THINK so, Tim!

I agree totally, never know for sure but I will not be surprised at all that the pm EMH at DHS are probably not coming back.

Was at DHS EMH tonight. We all said what a nice crowd they had there, but of course it's earlier now with shorter hours. It's a great time to do ToT, RnR and there are more ..... Star Tours, Muppets, GMR, TSMM, Launch Bay and I think Little Mermaid.

What we did notice when we went to Muppets during it was the loud construction noise, beeping from backing up, some lighting.

Back when they started introducing the upcharge extra hours events, I expected that would eventually usher in the end of the free extra hours events for onsite guests. I can't help but to wonder if we are seeing the beginning of that process now.

we are doing this next Friday. What time do you suggest getting in line for RnR and ToT? I was thinking around 8pm? How long were the wait times? If you get in line at say 8:59 can you still ride if he park closes at 9pm?

We did the EMH in October at HS and had a blast, we were able to do TSMM, ST, ToT, and GMR. We were able to do ST as many times as we wanted, two is enough for me lol. I don't usually do the evening EMH because we are rope droppers and make use of morning EMH, however the few times we have done HS EMH in the evening we did not see huge crowds like others reported so that was a plus.

Does it really matter, dhs is truly only a half a day park

To many, yes.

Even if you don't appreciate the park and only interested in attractions and not the park, if you can avoid wait times of ToT, RnR and TSMM .... then the morning EMH with opening hour or a couple hours EMH at night you can complete your DHS day without wasting FP+.

I want to ride TSMM and ToT repeatedly though ...

No EMH needed for that. Just wait until later in the evening when the crowds die down. We often ride TSMM 4 times during the last hour of operation. Just remember that procedures are in place to make the line look longer than it really is.

We once rode ToT 13 times in just under 2 hours. That was a little too much though.

Was this in August? I have never attended EMH and I am considering it this August since the line for TSMM has always been long. However, it may probably be shorter now having the additional track. Last time I went was late August 2014. I rode TSMM rope drop then with FP+. We rode ToT with FP+ then standby once after Fantasmic. My DD would love to do ToT 13 times especially at night.

We generally go in early June. The key is to go on a night when Fantasmic is performed twice. The vast majority of the crowd attends the first show and that line starts forming early. This leaves the rides with very short actual waits.

You can then attend the late Fantasmic with very little wait required and a fraction of the crowd. Since the show usually starts 30 minutes after the park closes, ToT will often leave their gates open 10-15 minutes after closing time to give stragglers something to do.

I usually have the Fantasmic Dining package and attend the first show. This time I will plan two evenings at DHS (hoping WDW will still have the Express Park to Park bus service for park hoppers), and will definitely try this strategy out!

:thanks:

EMH were 8-10 pm last night.
Crowds were a decent size.
We had gotten in line for Olaf a couple minutes before closing (he closes).
Got out around 8:20 and walked to Muppets.
Now EMH, they scanned MagicBands.
Got out around 8:50.
Got in line for RnR and ToT closer to 9 pm.
RnR was 15 minutes and ToT was walk on.

Now if you go right at 8 pm, which is when your EMH start, there will be all the non-EMH folks in the line who were jumping in at last minute. So if your question is can non-EMH enter the line 1 minute before closing, yes as CMs should not start scanning MB until 8 pm.

So this new info is NOT confirmation-we are still in the "Rumor Stage" we've been in for a while?

Thanks!:)
