EMH at AK...worth it?

So for my late April trip, there are EMH at AK on that Monday, the 23rd, but naturally EMH means much higher crowds in general for the day so I've been skeptical about wanting to go that day. My friend however, really wants to do it in hopes of a better chance/less wait for FOP. What is everyones experience so far with the EMH and Pandora during a low-moderate crowd week? As of now it's just 1 extra hour, but is there a good chance it will change to 7 am opening? This would also be our only AK day so I want to be able to make the most of it...and this is also assuming we can't get FP's since its only the 3rd day of our trip. We also want to do ROL at night so we don't want to miss that by waiting on line for FOP at night...

Would it be better to try and switch to whats predicted to be a much lower crowd day and possibly a better chance for a FP for FOP? My only concern with waiting too long to decide is making dining reservations- our time is coming up in a few days

The schedule for that day has not been released yet. You can guess based on what the previous week has been, but Disney will continue to change hours as we get closer to that date (just to keep the stress level up). I think the week you are going will be a little on the lower crowd time so you will probably have a reasonable wait if you get there for opening. Morning EMH are typically 8am - unless it is a major holiday week - then they will push up the opening to 7am -- so during the time you are going expect any EMH in the AM to be an 8:00am opening.
