EMH and GAC

Hi Guys,
I generally only slink over here and read everyone elses posts, and I apologise of this question has been asked before, but here goes..
I have 3 kids, the eldest (10) has ADD in and my 8yr old has Apergers, do I use the EMH (we are on site for 1st time) or do i go on quieter days with GAC.
Can you use the GAC during EMH?
How much busier is the EMH days than "normal days"?
We made the most of our GAC last year, Josh struggles with crowds so we did not have too much choice, but we struggled at water parks as they do not accept GAC...
Any advice more than welcome

Tracy- you can use your GAC during EMH's so your touring strategy would really depend on the timeframe for EMH and if it fits in with your family's stamina and plans. Perhaps if you are going to the waterparks it might be a good idea to use their EMH since the GAC doesn't apply there. I've gone to the evening EMH's several times and do feel it's less crowded plus if you want to return to your resort to nap or swim or just get some down-time during the day the EMH allows you to have additional touring time vs. having to go commando all day long to get in all the attractions and possibly worry about meltdowns just to the stress of being in crowds for a long period of time without a break.---Kathy

Yes you can use the GAC during EMHs.

Since my DD8 is used to the lines at Disney World if a line is more than 20 minutes long we use the GAC. The lines for EMH were usually pretty short but the ones that were pretty long for evening EMH was Soarin', Rock N Rollercoaster and Test Track. We used our GAC for that. The most popular rides get the longest lines and for evening EMHs it seems to take quite a while for the non-Disney Resort guests to leave.

The one time I did an EMH morning was at the MK. The lines were still kind of long (20 min at least) but we used our GAC.

Morning EMH are worth it if you can make them. However, the park often gets more crowded than normal after regular opening. This is because more resort guests are there, plus all the normal non-resort guests.

Even if you don't do EMHs in the morning, our experience is that getting to MK at opening time allows you to get into a lot of things with minimal waits (like as fast as you can walk on). This is even at busy times like Easter.
We can't usually get to the parks early with DD, because she needs too many cares in the morning and is not a morning person.
But, DH and I have gone at other times without her or with other members of our group and found we could go on all the Fantasyland attractions (plus a few others) before 10:30am. The parks generally get busier after that, so the conventional wisdom is to either get to an EMH park at opening or not go there at all. If you go later, you arrive with the people who are either staying off-site or just starting later.
