We are heading to Kidani in Jan. Jan 2-6 and bringing my Mom who has not been to WDW since 96. She has not seen AK. The first day is a Monday and they have EMH at AK. Would it be crazy to do that or should we go somewhere else and then hit AK later in the week.

If you stay on property and have PHs attending EMH is a great advantage.
If you don't have PHs the evening EMH is longer and may be better for you to attend.
