I made a reservation for the TC for our upcoming trip. Do they have a kids menu? It doesn't show it on their website. What they do have sounds fabulous...and my son may not want a kids menu.....but I was just curious.

Anyone dined there lately?

Hi, We visited Tchoup Chop last summer and yes they do have a kids menu. I can't really remember what all was on it but my daughter had the filet mignon which was $16 or $18.00, not cheap but well worth it. My daughter ate every bite. Not sure if all items on the kids menu were that expensive. We enjoyed our visit here tremendously. I wish we had eaten there again this past August but we just didn't have time, so many new places to try!

Esmerelda - I just treated my crew of 6 mid-20s to a wonderful dinner here at the end of August. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was top-notch. Unfortunately I was very ill that night with a sinus infection (I'd been waiting forever to get to eat here !:( ), but our waiter put together a little spinach salad that I managed to eat some of - I just didn't want to disappoint the kids! Every one of them said it was the best meal they had ever eaten! It cheered me up a little that they were enjoying themselves sooo much. They were also having a fun time trying to get their water glasses below 2" before the wait staff would rush over to refill them and hide their napkins when they got up - it was all in good-natured fun, but I laughed that we were showing our 'normal' level of 'fine' dining that we found it so amusing that they rushed to the table to refold a napkin every time someone got up ;) - the staff was extremely attentive and not only patient with us, but fun, too!

I'm hoping to return for lunch on our Dec trip - I know my sister will also love this place and I need to actually taste some of that delicious food. I did ask when leaving about children's menus because our little nephew will be with us - I was told that they do have a children's menu. I hope you enjoy your dinner as much as my gang did !:smooth:

hi --we just ate their in August with our toddlers 5 and 3. I have to admit when I walked in I was surprised how small the restaurant was and was very concerned that my kids would be to disruptive, however the wait staff was just over the top with their trying to meet our every need. We had the most wonderful service, food etc. It was a fabulous dining experience and worth every penny. The girls did order off a kids menu and it was rather pricey I am thinking chicken fingers were around $10. Of course my children didn't even make a dent in their portion. One of the funniest things was our daughter wanted PLAIN vanilla ice cream for dessert and the waiters were bringing the tray out and my husband noticed the "head" waiter(we had a wait staff of3 extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking with all of them) say something to another waiter and he took DD's ice cream back to the kitchen apparently there was a strawberry on her ice cream and he had it taken off because she ordered PLAIN ice cream. Wow amazing!

Wow guys..thanks for the responses! I'm so looking forward to our meal there...especially since my youngest is a huge Emeril fan! He has no clue we are going....I'll report back about how it all went!

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with some dress code advice for Tchoup Chop. We have reservations for lunch and were wondering if daytime attire would be satisfactory - anyone like to share the mode of dress during your visits?

Most have reported lunch as casual only rule appears to be no tank top t-shirts for guys:jester:

Actually, we saw guys in T-shirts at lunch. Some people were even wearing shorts for dinner at Tchoup Chop. We LOVED our meals there.

It is located towards the far end of the Royal Pacific Resort - on the ground floor down near the entrance to the boat dock.

When we ate at Tchoup Chop for lunch, we came straight from the parks and were dressed in normal park attire. Although there were business luncheons going on, we were made to feel most welcome. Shorts or suits, either way you will feel welcome at Tchoup Chop.

When are you going? Found on mousesavers.com that Sept. is Magical Dining Month in Orlando. Lots of restaurants are offering $19 lunch and $29 dinners! Tchoup Tchoup is one of them. And several of the other Universal resort restaurants are included too. Check it out here.

If we were traveling in Sept. I'd be all over this!
