His request of no sleeveless shirts
Gentlemen in long sleeves or no tank tops?
Does nice button down short sleeve get in?
thanks

Yes, a nice button down shirt and khaki's would be fine. This is a very nice restaurant and you wouldn't go there for dinner in tank top, shorts, jeans, etc. Nice casual works.

Yes it does go for Tchoup Tchoup as well. I was actually going to recommend it to the original poster. Tchoup Tchoup gets better reviews!

Dressing for Tchoup Chop would be the same as Emeril's. I agree with the others - we prefer Tchoup Chop to Emeril's. We've been to Emeril's once and Tchoup Chop twice - both are delicious, but we liked the atmosphere of Tchoup Chop more.

A nice short outfit would be fine for young children. Teens should be dressed up a little more IMHO.

Enjoy!

Have ressies in Sept. Would capri's be good to wear for women?

Thanks,

Joy

My family has been to both, and unlike popular opinion, we think Emeril's is much better than Tchoup-Chop. When we ate at Emeril's, we saw many people with nice short outfits. At Tchoup-Chop, people seemed to dress nicer, but there still was quite a few people in "nice" shorts outfits. IMO, the people who were all dressed up, (i.e. shirt w/tie and dress pants, women in dresses or pant suits), were in the minority and really seemed overdressed. However, a "casual" dress would be great! I wore capris to both, and my DH, and son both wore khakis w/ button down collars. Both complained that I made them get too dressed up for Emeril's, but felt appropriately dressed for Tchoup-Chop. I felt very comfortable in my capris at both, but I definitely was not underdressed. Again IMO, when eating at Emeril's in New Orleans, I would dress for a nice evening out. These 2 restaurants are at a theme park and people tend to dress more casually in this environment. I don't think Emeril minds, because he serves the same great food to all. :teeth:

I use this for an example: If I were going to a French restaurant in Tampa, my family would never show up in capris, shorts or even khakis. However, we have eaten at Les Chef de France in Epcot in our "nice" shorts outfits many times.

Hope this helps!

Is the dress the same for lunch at Tchoup-Chop? We're having lunch there the day we return from our Wonder cruise (12:30 p.m. on a Thursday). I'm sure we'll be dressed casually but neatly--nice shorts for the fellows (adults), and I'll most likely wear capris. If we can't get into our room at the RPH to change would this be a problem? Thanks!
