I'm stressing out here. I just found out that we were supposed to get yellow luggage tags that state the hotel where we'll be staying for the Magical Express. We received the holographic Disney tags, but nothing that states where we'll be staying?

What do I do? :confused3

I've read that you can still do ME without the tags. You just take your claim checks to the ME desk. Why don't you post on the transportation board, they'll be able to help you out better.

Take a deep breath! I have done Magical Express before without luggage tags. When you arrive in Orlando and go to the check-in desk for Magical Express just tell them your bags aren't tagged. They will then ask for the claim slips that you were given when checking your bags at your home airport. They will use these to find your bags. It worked flawlessly when I did it. Also, if that makes you nervous you are free to get your own bags at baggage claim and bring them onto the bus with you (actually there is a storage area under the bus). Not sure when you're leaving, but you can give Magical Express a call and see if they can still get the tags out to you. I am sure everything will work out fine! :thumbsup2

Just noticed that your ticker says you're leaving tomorrow! Just use the claim slips and try not to stress...have a GREAT time in Disney!!!

Thanks for the advice and words of comfort Mousema and PrincessJasmine08. It turns out that my aunt is not going to use all of her yellow tags so we'll have enough for everyone.

Thanks again. This boards rocks! :disrocks:

Have fun . . . :(

Glad you fu-found out you don't ne - need the ye - rellow tags . . .

If you are in the UK you tend not to get them anymore because they don't see the point in posting them. You have to collect your own bags from the carosel anyway and then once done take them with you to the Magical Express counter.

I'm too late to warn the OP so I'll let other DISers know:
If you use someone else's ME tags, your luggage will be delivered to that person's room. If your rooms are near each other...GREAT! If you're staying at different resorts, you'll be in for some trouble.

I'm sure that Disney could eventually get your luggage to you but why make more trouble for yourself? I had the misfortune of arriving at MCO without my ME tags at a time when their computer system was down and everything had to be done by hand. My bags still got to me. Disney moves luggage almost as efficiently as they move people.

have fun!!! and put your itinery on the rop inside of your luggage that way they will know where you are at.

The bigger problem would be if they weren't registered with ME as I don't think you can do that at the airport anymore. Even if you don't get your tags make sure you call ME to make sure your in their system.

I have heard great things about ME... Never tried it..Just try to relax I am sure you will get it all straightened out... GL
