Prayers coming to your daughter, you and the family. Life sure can change in an instant. Hopefully they got it out before real trouble set in, and she is on the mend quickly.

Ooh my! I am glad she is doing ok! I will pray for a speedy and easy recovery!

My nephew had the same thing at about the same age. He also just had his gall bladder out a few weeks ago at 17. He bounced back from each surgery like he'd never had them. Sounds like everything has gone smoothly for your DD also. Kids heal so much quicker than adults.

Man I hate when anything bad happens to anyone, but when it happens to one of our children it just makes us feel so helpless.
I hope she's doing well and have said a prayer for her.

I had an emergency appendectomy at the age of 55. Still remember my DH telling me over and over, "just go and lie down for awhile -- it will pass -- you don't have appendicitis!"

Anyway, sorry to hear that your daughter had surgery but praying for a speedy recovery.

Oh No - thats awful - I feel for you - I went through that last year myself. I hope your little one recovers quickly.

Wow! Keeping her in our prayers! My DW and I were talking last night about how quick time flies and the importance of kissing and hugging our kids everyday!

Wishing for a speedy recovery for your DD.

Question for you - was the appendix intact or did it burst?

I had appendicitis when - come to think of it, it was EXACTLY 23 years ago today... 1/13/78... Friday the 13th, I kid you not - I was only 8 yrs old. It burst before they got it out. They said it burst on the operating table but I think it was either in the ER or on the way there cuz all of a sudden the pain (think pressure) went away and I could walk and stand upright again. Once the doctors heard that, I was in the OR - STAT. I was in the hospital for 8 days getting some massive doses of antibiotics. Man did it burn all through my arm when they had to do those treatments.

So, hoping for a speedy recovery for DD and, especially if it burst, my heartfelt sympathies.

I had mine taken out at her age as well. My mom took me into the emergency room in the morning, by the night I was having my appendix taken out. Praying for a speedy recovery.
