Emerald Island townhomes

Has anyone stayed here? How was it? How close is actually to the Disney parks? TIA

Emerald Island is about 7 minutes from Animal Kingdom using Sherberth Rd. About 10 - 15 minutes to the other Disney parking lots.
Emerald Island has lots of nice landscaping and is very nice. We stayed in a 4 br house near the clubhouse and it was quiet, we had no problems.

We stayed in a 3 bdrm townhome 2 Christmases ago and it was fine.

The townhomes are in separate tract from the single family homes and maybe 3-4 minutes closer to 192. It's actually the first left before you get to Emerald Island's main gate.

We rented from someone on VRBO for $79/nt. Didn't use the pools because it was December.

Wow, very nice and a very good price! You'll have a great time, no worries.

FYI - I think the supermarket that's nearby (192 and Formosa Gardens) is a Winn-Dixie and another 5-10 minutes west (near Orange Lake) is a Publix.

It's inside the guard house closer to the clubhouse is all.

Wanda they say April showers bring May flowers. I will be cultivating a cellar full if that is true. We were part of the flood that was in national news for a bit. Lucky us!

Deb, we get the Boston TV stations and saw a lot of news about the flooding, hope you didn't lose much. I guess all of that rain went out to sea instead of following up the coast to us, thankfully. BTW everyone has been picking Mayflowers already and it isn't even May. I love the smell.

Is there a beach on site?? I noticed there's a lake and it looks like there's sand in the playground ... Would there be enough for a 4 year old to build sandcastles and such??

Thanks for all the info! I had emailed a lot of different owners and some took a week to get back to me. I chose this one because the owner was very responsive and answered all my questions. It looks to be a great deal. We only needed 2 bedrooms, but you can't beat the price!

EIR has no beach but 2 small tot lots.

There is sand at the volley ball pit. My daughter used it when she was younger.
