My friend and her family are planning a disney vacation with a stay at a vacation home. What can you tell me about this one? Is it in a good location? What can you tell me about the location? Do you recommend a stay here? Or, where would you recommend?
Thank you so much!!! :sunny:

Well, we are staying there in two weeks. We found our villa at orlandovillas.com which has discussion forums, one of which is devoted ot rental communities. It also has a map showing where the subdivisions are.

EI is new, very nice, gated community off 192 West of WDW's Maingate. Using the Sherbeth road shortcut you can get to Animal Kingdom in under ten minutes (more liek 5 if no traffic), Mk in 15 or 20 I would think with typical traffic. Lots of retaurants and amenities nearby. Has a communal pool and some facilities.

Apparently it is better to stay West of the WDW maingate because there is a lot of traffic and construction on the Eastern side.

EI is in what they call the "Splendid China" area, although SC is now closed. Other communities there include Windsor Palms, Formosa Gardens, and many others.

You can also go to tripadvisor.com for reviews of EI, all of which are very positive.

This is a lot of info from someone who has never stayed at EI, but we did a ton of research so I wanted to share. I will post a report when we return.
