Anyone know about this area. this is where our house will be. I heard that it's close, but that's all I know. Any other info would be appreciated. TIA

It is a great place. We own a pool home there and we love it. There is a clubhouse. It's in a gated community so the added security is wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. If you check out my site I have pictures of the club house and amenities the resort offers.

The short cut to WDW thru Serberth rd is a cool thing also. At the top of the street there are a few places to eat such as the outback. carabbas. tgi fridays, taco bell, giordanos and a small market. Here is the site for 192 were EI is off of. http://www.kissimmee-us192.com/map/map2/kiss192map2.htm
You can find anything you are interested in. If I can answer any particular questions pm me. When you get back I would love to hear what you have to say about the resort and area. Have a great time.

We stayed there in December and it was VERY nice and close. We really enjoyed ourselves! The Sherberth rd trick was great....and most of the people in our group (5 cars) were getting totatlly lost and turned around before I 'taught' them that trick :) Regardless of how turned around any of us got, we knew to follow the signs to Animal Kingdom and we could find our way home (Sherberth was right at AK). Much easier than trying to remember which highway we needed and which direction to go.

One other thing, we got lost the first time we went. It was very dark and late and the area is filled with tract homes. There's no way you could miss it in the daytime, I would definatly recommend arriving in the daytime.

We will be arriving "bright and early" so hopefully we'll be ok. Thanks for the info. Did either of you go to Universal or Sea World from there? We are also doing those parks on our trip and I'm not sure how close we are to them.

All we did last time was universal. We had a 7 day ticket and we had a great time and no lines. We also went in Feb. so it is not prime season. My kids are coaster nuts now so next time we go we will be doing sea world and busch gardens only. I have not met with any problems as of yet in all the time we have been down there in EI. I also like the grocery store just pass us on 192 vs the one closer to 4. It is less congested that way. The web site for the pictures of the resort is

sorry I gave you the wrong thing. If you need anything in particular just pm me I am fast learning the ins and outs of pool home life.

I saw the pics. Thanks. I'm looking at the workout room thinking I should visit there, but I'm sure I won't. How long do you think it took you to get to Universal?

About 20 minutes. Remember we went in Feb it was off season compared to on season. We loved universal!!!!!!! The food was good also. Have a great time.

We're also staying in EI, but with our 3 DS's to counter your 3 DD's! Let us know what you think - we won't be there until June 2006.

isla bonita - on the first link you provided, where would the turnoff on the map be for EI? Thanks!

The home is beautiful. What do they charge per week?

We stayed there last month. The resort is beautiful. However, we wished we would have rented directly from a vacation home owner instead of going through a rental service. The customer service from the company we rented through stunk... But like I said, the resort itself is really nice and real close to WDW.

Could you tell us which service you used?? :flower:

We will be going shopping when we get there, but probably not until after the parks. Anywhere close by, like a Super Walmart(we don't have these in NJ some I'm always excited to go to one) or somehwere that's open late.

There is a Walmart on 27. If you take a left coming out of Formosa gardens blvd and stay on that rd to 27. It is not even 1/2 mile away.
