Hi there! Staying offsite in emerald island in October, anyone know it? How long was your journey to the parks? And is there any shortcuts? ... Did you find the location convenient?
Thank youuuu :)

Have stayed many times.

Go around the circle to Emerald Island Blvd. drive by the clubhouse and stop in if it is between 8:00 and 10:00. Take third left onto La Isla Drive. Take second right onto Isla Bonita Court. Our home is the only single story home on the cul-de-sac.
Shortcut to WALT DISNEY WORLD from the Villa
Exit out of Emerald Island by turning right
At the 4 way stop take the left onto Formosa Gardens
Stay to the right, turn right onto 192 (at the Red Lobster)
Immediately get into the left lane.
Turn left at the light onto Sherberth Road. Follow Sherberth to the light.
Take a right, your on Disney property!
Follow the signs to the location of choice.
If you miss the turn onto Sherberth, proceed down 192 and follow the signs to Disney World.

Thank you so much!! Really decent of you to take time to type all that info! I've saved it to my Disney folder!
Out of interest, how long does the journey take to MK using that shortcut? ..
Big thanks!! :-)

We usually stay in this area and have stayed at Emerald Island a couple of times. It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the MK parking lot but then you have to walk in or take the tram to the Ticket/Transportation Center and then take the monorail or ferryboat into the turnstiles. We allowed 45 minutes to get to rope drop at MK and just made it. It's not the distance, it's the time waiting and transferring that takes so long.
With the other parks you can be at AK parking lot in 6 or 7 mins. , DHS in less than 10 and Epcot in about 12 min.
Here's a map with the shortcut and some other things marked in. From Em. Is which is #15 you would go to where the green line starts and follow that to the red line and turn left and follow the red line into Disney and follow the Disney signs to the park that you want. (This is the way Isla Bonita mentioned)
OR when you get to the intersection where the lines start, follow the blue line to where the red line starts and turn left and again follow the red line in. There's a small section of dirt road this way but it's the way we usually go.
