Emerald Club $50 waived

Just was at the National site and up in the top right hand corner you can sign up for the Emerald Club for free. Anyone know if you get any good deals through this?

I use it all the time. The main benefit is no waiting at the counter (you go straight to the garage) plus you have the possibility of an upgrade with Emerald Aisle (but not guaranteed). The Emerald Club contract code usually isn't the best deal, I check all the different ones listed on mousesavers. In May, I got a full size with the priceless contract code and $20 entertainment coupon for $97 for the week, including taxes.
