Embassy Suites?

Is this a good hotel? I'm planning a last minute December trip (Dec. 29- Jan 4) and found that this hotel has rooms available at a good rate.

Thoughts?

There are 5 in the area. One in Altamonte Springs, 2 on I Drve, one near the convention center, one at LBV and one at OIA. I like the one at OIA the best. They generally have a nicer Manger's Reception. Sometimes a hot appetizer. Never stayed at the one in OBV or AS. The 2 on I drive are ok. But be careful about getting a room facing I-4, it can be rather loud.

We will be staying at the Embassy Suites in Altamonte Springs over Thanksgiving weekend prior to our Disney vacation.

Personally, we LOVE Embassy Suites and they are always my first choice when traveling. Some may think that the prices are high, but when you factor in the cook to order breakfast every morning and the Manager’s Reception (yes, free drinks!!) every evening not to mention that each room is a 2 room suite….no to shabby!!

We have not stayed at the Embassy in Altamonte Springs, but it appears to be in a good location for golf, shopping and an easy drive to Daytona Beach & Cocoa Beach.

I hope that I helped you in making your decision & I am hoping that we made the correct choice as well!

We are staying 1 night (next Sat.) at the Jamaican Ct. one on International Drive. The LBV one had terrible reviews on tripadvisor.com--check them out.
We needed one night to complete our vacation and they have an olympic promotion that you get 2 collector build a bear pandas and its going to be a surprise for my daughter. LBV also didn't honor this promotion.

We have stayed many times at Embassy LBV and always enjoyed it. Our last visit was in 2005 and the room needed some refurbishing, but our 3 teen boys love the breakfast. We can skip lunch and have a great snack and a nice dinner. The pool there was nice, too. sorry we haven't been there more recently...
