I am thinking about taking a quick trip to DL for spring break and have about decided that the Embassy Suites South is the hotel for me.

1. Can you see the fireworks from the Embassy Suites South?

2. It looks like the Anaheim Shuttle/Bus thingy (that's the technical name, right? :rotfl2: ) goes to the Embassy Suites South. Does someone have first hand knowledge if this is correct?

3. About how long would it take to drive to Legoland for the DL area. We are thinking of going on a Sunday, if that makes a difference.

Thanks

1. Nope, Unless there is one or two that have a top right corner that you can peer around the hotel(s) to the right.. (north) of it. you can hear them but it sits between two other motels so room views are out toward Harbor Drive, toward a motel or other, and toward the golf range.

2. Yes it does, and it works splendedly. Even with the buzy week before Christmas I never waited long for a shuttle, the stop is about 15ft outside the front door of the hotel and you can see the shuttle coming if it happened to be poor weather.. There are benches you can wait on. It is the K shuttle, going in the morning they stopped at a couple other hotels very briefly.. right along the way.. didn't pull INTO any others.. just on the side of Harbor. Then right to the park. On the way back we never stopped at others. (I think later in the day they separated them out (possibly). The only bummer is the K shuttle waiting spot At Disney is the furthest from the gate of all but one or two of the shuttles. The offically run every 20min from 7am.. or 6:30 on EE days (I think)

Not sure on legoland. The Embassy Suites South is a great hotel, and is better even that other Embassy's I have stayed at, more theming very healthy Koi etc.. oh and say hi to the Turtle if you go :)

Sunday drive to Legoland (Carlsbad) would take about an hour. The drive home would take longer as it seems many Los Angeles and Orange County residents spend time in San Diego and Mexico over the weekend and you would hit that traffic on your drive back to Anaheim.
